Monster trucks, rides, competitions, food and entertainment - it all begins Monday The 2016 Frederick County Fair starts Monday and will run through July 30 at the Frederick County Fairgrounds.

The week-long festival will feature different attractions each night, most of them with a vehicle component of some kind, said Mary O’Neal, reporter for the fair.
“It could be too hot or it could be raining,” O’Neal said. “80 degrees would be great for the whole week and usually our biggest nights seem to be Wednesday and Thursday. The truck and tractor pull brings a lot of people in and the monster truck is always big on Tuesday.”
“Monday we have go-kart racing, that’s a big attraction,” she said. “Tuesday we have the monster truck show. Wednesday is the skid steer rodeo. Thursday is the truck and tractor pull. Friday we have another truck and tractor pull and Saturday is the demolition derby. All of those things are included with the gate price.”
