Chaplaincy rewarding for minister and patients By Sam Taff Daily Correspondent ospitals provide a great service, but it's hard to find people who enjoy being there to visit patients.

For Pastor Richard Craver and other members of the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Chaplaincy, spending time at the hospital is rewarding. Pastors volunteer every day to sit with patients who need to talk, who need to confess, who need a prayer or just need some company. The comfort of a pastor in the room means a lot to the staff. Pastors take rotating shifts to make sure someone is available 24 hours a day. Our Board of Directors:
Who We Are A Network of Churches, Non-Profit Organizations, Individuals and Businesses who work together to promote and support each other and to become an extension for each other in the community. SVCC operates with volunteers, not only to minimize expenses, but to demonstrate to the community the true spirit of working together for the common good of the community. We provide activities, seminars, net-working, co-op fundraising events and luncheons that are enjoyable for men, women and children, young and young at heart.
Our Goal To strengthen our community by networking Churches, Individuals, Non-Profit Organizations and Businesses by uplifting our fellow citizens to help them to minister to and bring others to Christ.
Long Term Goals Provide a homeless shelter. We also would like to build a Convention and Welcome Center to host events.
Our Mission & Vision Statement *To Create a Network for Churches, Non-Profit Organizations, Individuals and Businesses to do Godʼs Work and act as liaisons on their behalf to support and promote each other in our Communities *To promote Prayer and to help spread the Word and works of God using a Christian life-style. *To provide safe family activities & entertainment in Christian environments.
Prayerfully consider the following scriptures: • For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am in their midst. (Matthew 18:20) • Without a vision the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18) • As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
