Well Rounded: The Spa at Paradise Point
Jennifer Chapman
Sometimes, you just need a break from the chaos of everyday life, a time to unwind and focus on self care. Whether your chosen activity is yoga, golf, massage, meditation or sleeping-in, that momentary break refreshes and revitalizes you in a way that is invaluable for a healthy life. I am always looking for that opportunity to restore balance in my own life and recently while down in San Diego I found the unexpected haven that is The Spa at Paradise Point to do just that.
From the moment I entered, my tension began to ease and time seemed to slow in a way I can onlydescribe as ethereal. As the soft voices, incense, calm music and tranquil setting reached my senses, Iwas able to release and leave behind the chaos that can accompany a busy, often too-full life.
When I stepped into the room for my massage, I couldn’t help but stand in awe of the soft glow of the salt lamps, luxurious linens and soothing décor. Massage services vary, and individuality really comes into play as everyone’s needs are different, so experiencing a new therapist can give one pause, but not here. The communication was effortless and as the massage progressed I felt the therapist was accommodating my body and guiding me into a deep, fulfilling bliss. Afterward, I spent a few extra minutes savoring my surroundings before exiting this private space and re-entering the spa.
