Feb 5 Evening Lantern Viewing at Lan Su Chinese Garden

Lan Su welcomes the Year of the Rabbit with several evenings of traditional lantern viewing evenings, when the garden glows with hanging red lanterns illuminating sweeping roof lines and the Lake Zither reflects the lights of large-scale floating lantern sculptures.The lantern viewing evenings at Lan Su was inspired by the Lantern Festival, or Yuan Xian Jie, as part of Lunar New Year traditions. 5pm and 7pm, $0-$45 lansugarden.org

During these interactive music sessions, participants will be exposed to and begin to learn and practice simple fundamentals of music, all while having a blast singing and/or acting out silly and interesting songs that are often accompanied by musical paraphernalia like shaker eggs, dancing scarves, and drums. Making music fun sets the stage for a life-long love and understanding of music, and that’s just what Zazzy Zoe facilitates!
