TA N N I N S There’s nothing like an adult Arnold Palmer to sum up the end of summer. It’s got the delicious sweetness of lemonade to remind us of the innocence of spring, and a healthy splash of bourbon to help temper the chill of a fall afternoon in the Northwest. In honor of this delicious drink, we kicked it up a notch by adding an infused shot of lemonade – the whopping 100mg punch from Ray’s Lemonade, which comes in several flavors and size options. With a float of Bulleit Bourbon above the shot of lemonade, a few ounces of iced tea, a splash of simple syrup and peach liquor, all garnished and tied together with a peach slice and sprig of mint – this is one classy drink that delivers a powerful Cannabis buzz. TERPENES Fall in Washington brings visions of apple harvests turning into cider and pie, and this doughy and gassy sauce is the perfect dab to complement the refreshing cocktail we mixed up. High Tide Cannabis is a Tier 2 producer in Tacoma focused on unique cultivars, with craft flower and concentrate options. The Apple Tartz is a cross of Apple Fritter and Runtz, which smells like fresh green apple peels, dipped in sweet lemon petrol with a kiss of Runtz. Like the name implies, these dabs smell good enough to eat – but we found that chasing a sip of the cocktail was the perfect combination. T H E PA I R I N G This is a one and done drink for most people, although it can easily be made with a full size Ray’s Infused Lemonade with 100mg spread across a full bottle, allowing for 10-20mg versions instead of our 100mg knockout drink. But don’t judge us – it’s been a long, 18-month summer without kids in school, and the transition to fall deserves a strong drink. This tastes like a classic infused Arnold Palmer – refreshing, sweet but slightly tart, and with a little acidity from the infused lemonade that ties it all together for a hole in one drink. Chased with a dab, the inhale hits the palate like a doughy, sugary, smokey tart with a perfect apple peel and lemon-gas exhale.
