In last month’s issue, Fredrik Norrsell and Nancy Pfeiffer’s astounding Alaskan journey not only inspired a stirring feature tale that you can still catch on nwyachting.com, but a stunning cover as well. Starring the pair’s 17’ Salish Voyager from Gig Harbor Boat Works, the dreamy shot snapped by Norrsell prompted many kind comments online—and also created quite a stir at the Seattle Boat Show!

Nice To See You

Speaking of, this year’s Seattle Boat Show was one for the ages, as the event drew over 35,000 attendees and provided hundreds of new vessels for perusal. One of the highlights of our week was hopping aboard the Makaira Gen3 800 featured in this month’s Arrivals on pages 38-39. From its unique flared aluminum hull to the intricate detail work on the rivets, she may be the first model to make her way to North America from New Zealand, but our guess is she certainly won’t be the last.
