AT THE OCCASION OF THE ISSUU WEB EDITION OF 2013 In 1976 – now 36 years ago, this publication appeared and became instantly rare. It depicts the issue of tax stamps in Czechoslovakia in four periods- the first and second democratic republic, the period of the German occupation between 1939-1945, and the communist era after 1948. This publication is of great importance for historical reasons: it illustrates the way different governments and ministries controled economy and transportation. Not only of luxury goods, but also on the basic food production as flour. If not published and brought into an overview in this book, and others of other countries, the sheer existence of these remarkable stamps would get lost. For this reason the E=mc² publishers (NYWF – Amsterdam / Haarlem, 2013) made it their mission to make this information availbale on the Web.
