#01 KATHARSIS Urban Design 02 July 2017 Collaborator_Georgia Xypolia #Publications_@thearchiologist, @littleblackbox.ny

The course from the city of Olympia to ancient Olympia is the transition from the new civilization to the ancient. The way we faced the creation of this new path was precisely that transition. A new entrance that gradually through experiential experiences and the game of senses will now lead the visitor to this very important cultural area. The goal was to purify, through the intense presence of the natural environment. Thus, the uses of visual flashes, sounds and their denaturation by the visitor have become the main tools in shaping this new course.

A highriser is formed at the city boundary with the sea. At the junction of Kifissos Avenue and Poseidon Avenue, a new velocity relationship is created. Developing of huge speeds on the motorways is the first condition. The second condition is a hotel and a park where created, hosting visitors and residents, who take possession of this once inaccessible space. At the same time, the building reflects the sea in the city, and the city at sea. An ortho-regular face formed by horizontal plates faces the sea, while a shell with the shape of ancient hydria (a pottery of ancient Greek ceramics used for water transport) turns towards the city. There, three plaques extend, creating three gardens, filtered from the shell and gazing at the Acropolis. On the other hand, an uphill park is formed by the sea.

#03 KENO04 Everyday Urban Alphabet June 2018 #Publication_@Archisource Keno, in Greek means vacuum. This project is the portrait of Greece. Our nation jump between utopia and reality; sea sun and islands are the first condition, on the other hand changes in politics and society create a complex of this metaphorical collage. A research about the urban voids in the island of kythnos which is very close to Athens help us to illustrate those two conditions. Four colonies of the island presents 04 different values of urban voids which describes and the situation of all the country. With the process of bottom up and the technic of bricolage, rural transformations change the image of this island. All this history is presenting into urban voids and 04 ancient patrons of the island of Kythnos are supervising the spirit of changing in every horizontal point from the view of a big compass. The real image of the island is reflecting on the allegorical image of Greece in the big collage and the urban voids are reflecting on the ancient gods. Goddess Artemis -blank spaces where host horses. Goddess Demeter -empty houses and the nature between the walls. God Poseidon -flows and empty alleys. God Apollo -complementary spaces.

#04 SWING SCHOOL_2039 Architectural Design 05 February 2018 Collaborator_Maria Roumelioti #Publication_Archstudies.gr A reference point for our design proposal was the Proun series of El Lissitzky with the main geometric solids, in which the artist addressed the morphological relationships between them, the spatial qualities deriving from these solids as well as their three-dimensional representation , in collage, in space.More specifically, we relied on Proun 19D (1922), on which we worked on the development of our proposal. The first step was to identify the basic shapes and phrases. Then, translating the table, we came up with the charts that illustrate the basic principles of our proposal. The two-dimensional lines of the table have also gained a third dimension and have been transformed into volumes in space. These volumes seem to have come from an explosion, as a result of which they had their anecdotal placement in the space. Some of them have been established on the ground and some seem to suspended. Lastly, all this anarchic situation, which was the form and the tumultuousness of our building, had to be covered with a shelter-frame that came from the basic engravings of the painting, housing the part of the school that we considered functional and leaving the rest outdoors.

#05 DUALITY Architectural Design 06 June 2017 Collaborator_Cristiana Alifanti a. The uniqueness of the character of the museum. The "anthropogenic" and "natural" thus ended in the parallel use-report. That is, the visitor can now perceive the old (finds of the ancient wall of Dymeus) and through an experiential journey to reach today (biotope view). b. The second important element of the composition was to place it at that point, creating a 90 meter frame running from the highest elevation to the lagoon in parallel with the wall. c. The desire to remain humble in the background and in the natural environment. So throughout this course we created, we use, directly, the natural plateaus and "openings" of the area. Basic Idea: the museum-course was the use of these natural plains through the sinking and the emergence of visitors, keeping sight of the wall and the lagoon. We are essentially spreading along the rock, creating the most private spaces on the back, laying the main entrance and uses of general nature on the central plateau, while at the front we place the exhibition-observatories.

#06 Blender Architectural Competition Cook8 July 2018 Collaborator_Georgia Xypolia

The proposal is to create a space that will mix socialization through cooking and the dinning process. The marriage of the two concepts is achieved by the union not only of the symbolic process, but also by virtue of the combination of spaces that occur chainwise, literally one from the other. The necessary units required, based on the course from the start of the food production process to the consumption, create fractals that generate small chambers at different levels. The levels define the perimeter movement in the space, which enhances the marriage of the two basic functions defined by plateaux that can be used as socialization spaces, while they are also production areas. The sequence of fractals is reflected by their degradation at the top of the composition and produces another function. The resulting perimetric mesh is the shell, where it is possible to place any cover depending on the environment or to remain completely open.

#07 Dispersal Project Urban Design 02 Architectural Exhibition December 2017 Collaborator_Georgia Xypolia

The intervention concerns the creation of scattered shades at "Ypsilon Alonion Square" in Aigio (Greece), along with the accommodation of the outdoor cafeteria, next to the pedestrian walkway. The aim is to create new traffic flows and stopping points inside the square. The basic axis is union of the square with the natural environment, taking into account the existing planting. The pattern of shades results from the simplification of the shape of the sheets. It is the creation of stopping stations that vary according to the climate of each season, each of which has seats for at least twelve people. The sunshades are flexible in case of rain and intense sunshine. The construction consists of perpendicular trunnions and columns which can be moved on a rack system in each case to effect the movement of shaders operating in sliding form.

Architectural Exhibition May 2017 Collaborators_Cristiana Alifanti Michael Miaoulis Zizi Papadimitriou Olivieri Katerina Papadopoulou Maria Roumelioti "Mancala" is a strategy game that is used to playing children in Africa. Its name comes from "Naqala"and means moving or subtracting. The puddles in the soil, these "voids", we have translated them into full details and created the special volumes of our building. Each volume is not only spatially but also functional. Our synthetic proposal is characterized by full details - volumes, as well as a sequence of semi-open-air spaces. The climate of Nairobi was the cause of the uselessness of semi-open spaces. These spaces are mainly traffic areas, while outdoor, staging areas. Both outdoor are directly related to the reception area, as well as to the Pediatric Examination Center and one of them is a specially designed playground for children to play "Mancala".
