By Hope Bernier, Natalie Zhang, & Alex Collins On October 25, the students of Oak Hill celebrated the annual Harvest Festival. The Halloween-themed celebration would not have been possible without the decorations put together by Ms. Luksic, Mr. Hill, and Mr. Crede, as well as students Hannah Bruck, Steven Wang, Sam Fryling, Aislinn Curtin, Will Messer, Tara Griffith, Veronica Hartley, Christine Sears, Frankie Knox, Christine Richardson, Sandy Chen, Carita Cai, Billy Kindle, Bakh Pearl, Michelle Watson-Jones, Alex Jacob, Dani Kahn, Percy

Smith, Linda Goins, and Chris Benson. Everyone worked hard to create and display the decorations. On the evening before the festival, students began to decorate Noonkester. There were four backdrops that were painted by Ms. Luksic’s decorators. Some were images of witches, while some were images of pumpkins. Faux spider webs were spread throughout the open spaces of the pavilion’s perimeter and on the dock. “Caution” tape was spread across the dock as well as

tombstones. The tombstones had messages such as “Vacancy” or “I’ll be back.” Fake spiders and bats were hung above the fireplace inside of the pavilion along with a couple ghostly skeletons that hung from the ceiling. Plastic pumpkins were set up along the rocky hill next to the pavilion, which pulled the whole look together. The Harvest Festival dinner consisted of vegetable stew with bread bowls, mini corn
