FACULTY

THE INSTITUTE OF ENGINEER IN G

The faculty at Oaks Christian School is often referred to as the “living curriculum.” Faculty has come from around the country. There is a 8:1 student-to-teacher ratio, and 56 percent of our faculty members hold advanced degrees. Our highly qualified and dedicated Christian teachers act as mentors and role models to our students, inspiring them to the highest levels of purpose and achievement. Faculty and staff lead advisory groups, volunteer as chaperones for class level trips, and often welcome students at lunchtime or out-of-class hours for conversation and connection. Our faculty and staff also excel professionally outside of the classroom, publishing original works, having art nationally recognized, and being recognized as leaders in their fields.

The Institute of Engineering develops students with the skills to analyze, model, and design engineering systems, solve complex problems, and master the use of software and prototyping tools used in the industry. The courses are designed to cover the primary topics of university engineering programs, but also include a philosophy of engineering and introduction to the typical industry design review process. Students benefit from off-campus excursions in robotics, cyberpatriots and the annual solar cup team competition.
