NEW READING CORNER The reading corner is a place next to the hallway were students can go when their classes finish to read. It was created to promote reading. If you finish classes and homework early, you can ask for permission to your teacher to go to the corner. There’s a maximum of ten students. Each reader takes a medal and if they are completed you can’t enter. Books are classified in a shelf by topics: comics, comedies, adventures and magazine. The best of the corner is to sit on cushions, they give a nice look. It’s a fantastic idea because children find the magic of reading. Aimar 5A It is a place where children go on break or when the teacher tells them they can go to read. They have done it so that the children read more and relax and not so much with the tablet. There may be ten people. My favourite book is Arturo Leal y El perro fantasma. Estrella Tomás 5A The library a place where children go to read and the children go and relax. Four Mice in the Salvage West is my favourite book, and I like the library a lot because it seems educational and could help us read better. r. Martina Simó 5A The new reading corner is a very nice and pleasant place. Children n who have free time because they have finished their work can go o read for a while. Teachers have created it for children to read more e and become fond of reading. One of my favourite books is The Little Prince. Lucía 5B The reading corner was created by teachers for when we finished doing homework, going out to read because reading is very good for knowing new words and learning things. They also have books or magazines. Books are for all ages and magazines too. When we arrived on the first day of school I was already assembled with all all the books and magazines. I like the reading corner because I like books. Manu 6A On the first day of class they installed a library or the students of the school I really liked with the medals the books I liked a lot it is very comfortable to read there I like it. Mohamed 6A The reading corner is a place that is at school. I think the teachers create it to make reading more fun. Only 10 children can go to the reading corner. To enter, you need to take a medal, if there are no medals, you can’t read in the reading corner. My favourite book is one of Geronimo Stilton. I like the idea because, reading becomes more fun. Raquel 6A The corner of reading is to help you read more to relax, I don’t like reading very much, but in the corner of reading I like reading more, there are ten medals, before entering you have to take a medal, if you save whether or not. There are comics, magazines, books of valencian and books of Spanish Nerea 6B In Germans Ochando we love read, so we have a reading corner to read. It’s a small library. We go to read there when we finish the work. We have it because we like we like read and if we don’t finish the book and it looks interesting we can take it and care it home to finish him. We said to the teachers we want to learn to write more good and they said: If you wantt e to write more good you have to read and your mind memorize the words. My favourite book is Cap a l’escola de formatges, of Geronimo Stilton. It’s a great idea, but they have to put more to o read or more books. Eva 6B

Listening corners A listening corner is a place where you can hear things in English, specifically in Andrea and Sandra’s classroom and you can even read things in English and there are mp3, tablets etc.
Noah Caballero 6B Elementary English teachers Sandra and Andrea, in their classrooms, they have made a new listening corner where you can read and listen to the story while you see it on mp3, tablets, etc..
Alexandra 6B The listening corner is a place to listen to songs and stories in English. It was created by Andrea and Sandra in Germans Ochando school, to listen to MP3 and tablet.
Nacho 6B A listening corner, is a space in the classroom where, in an organized way, there are books and materials and you can listen to music and relax your mind and without anyone interrupting you. You also improve reading and so we would like to read more. There are mp3, headphones to listen to music, books, there are some QR codes to locate and listen/read what it says. There are two in school and both in English.

Una escapada a l’aigua Els xiquets i xiquetes de 3r de Primària de “Germans Ochando” anem els dilluns del primer trimestre a la piscina municipal d’ Almassora.. Allí els monitors ens ensenyen a nadar (croll, esquena, braça), jocs d’aigua molt divertits. També fem exercicis de respiració i apnea. Ens ho passem molt bé amb els monitors i gaudim tots junts. 3A
El mon de l’aigua Aquest any,és un any nou per a tots. Nosaltres estem a tercer i hem d’anar a la piscina.Alli aprenem a nadar,però el que més ens agrada es quan els monitors ens diuen que passem a la piscina xicoteta,perque allí juguem i ens divertim tots junts. Every year in October we celebrate the Correllengua in Germans Ochando because it is the day of the Valencian language. We celebrate it with dances and animation shows. HALLOWEEN articles
On Halloween we went through the tunnel of terror, we danced with zombies, we also saw skeletons dance, we went to see a Halloween theatre in Pere’s class and we played a game of boxes. In the trick or treat they gave us candies and oranges. We listened to Tili Tili Boom that Mercé played on the violin. Noa and Raul 5A In Halloween my class went to get our sponsored students, and then we went to the tunnel of terror. After that, we found some horrible witches doing an enchantment potion. Next we went to a scary dance of zombies. We stayed two minutes viewing the dance. Then we went out to the playground to join another singing dance. After that, we sang the skeleton dance and we went to see the theatre in an English class. Next we went to listen to a violin audition and we crossed another tunnel with percussion instruments. Finally we went to a class where my teacher Sandra gave us some oranges and candies when we said to her “trick or treat”. Damian and Ian 5B On Halloween the children of sixth graders do many preferences. There are different stations: tunnel, Halloween dance, monster monster, skeleton dance, another instruments, tunnel and theatre. The performances begin at quarter past nine. And at eight o’clock after in the playground there is are more. In the afternoon we started at a quarter past three. Diego Fortuño and Raúl Olivares 6A Halloween day was the 31st of October. I like it because it was a party of terror with much fear for example: Incantation, Zombie dance, Monster Monster, Skeleton dance, Theatre, Violin, Tunnel. Marwa 6B Hi my name is Daniel, today I’m speaking about the party of Halloween. The first action is the invocation. The second, distance of zombies. The third is monster, monster. The fourth is skeleton dance. The fifth is the theatre with violin. The sixth is the theatre. The seventh is the tunnel. The eighth is a trick of treat. The ninth is the feely boxes. XIQUETS ALMASSORINS D’OCHANDO EXPLOREN CASTELLÓ DE LA PLANA Un grup de xiquets i xiquetes de l’escola Germans Ochando d’Almassora visiten els llocs d’interès més representatius de Castelló. Classe de quart A. El passat dia 8 de novembre, els alumnes i les alumnes de quart del CEIP Germans Ochando d’Almassora, arribaren amb autobús a Castelló per a recórrer a peu els seus carrers i conèixer els llocs d’interès més importants de la ciutat: la Muralla Liberal, el Fadrí, la Concatedral, l’Ajuntament, el Mercat... El motiu de l’excursió va ser estudiar els elements culturals més significatius de la ciutat més gran que tenen al seu entorn, Castelló de la Plana.
