the sixties and seventies. The interior complete with custom upholstery still reflects the era with the stitched panel seats and trims, yet takes on the custom look with a flowing curve as if following the original guards but on the inside. The classic metal flake material inserts fully capturing the era and highlighting the flowing curve as well.
The interior roof panel is upholstered to match the theme over the interior roll cage to give the feel of stepping into a time capsule to head straight back to the sixties to cruise the main.
That’s soo cool!
The dash still retains the classic Deuce Coupe styling but upgraded with reliable modern analogue gauges to keep track of what’s happening up front in that growly ole V8.
The Moon Eyes rev counter mounted to the steering column to back the original styling of the sixties street racer.
There are some modern styling comforts in there though. Steve’s installed a centre consule to house the modern stereo and speakers for cranking the sounds. Although the exhaust caps are removable if he starts singing along anyway.
Up front sitting proud and in place is a tricked up, stroked out 383 Chevy out of a 350 block. There’s a fair bundle of goodies slotted into that unit to get this light weight buggy to jump when need be.
Backed by a tricked and shift kitted 350 transmission to shove the horsepower back to the Ford 9” diff fitted with disc brakes to compliment the front disc brakes, this home built Lil Deuce is a cool unit for hitting the streets and drag strip with for sure.
The entire styling of this build sits awesome with the era and that famous movie. Right from the Moon Fuel tank up front to the fender less guards and them huge feet on the back. This is one very cool Coupe and I can certainly see Steve’s passion for the scene in this build here!
