Leg Veins Varicose (spider) veins on the legs and face are incredibly unattractive and bothersome. WI-HO’s advanced laser technologies help us safely, easily and effectively remove varicose (spider) veins. We use longer wavelength lasers for larger deeper veins and a shorter wavelength laser for smaller more superficial veins. The laser treatment works by passing light through the skin heating up the blood in the vessel causing thermocoagulation of the vessel. Your body will then slowly absorb the clogged vessel.

WI-HO - FAQ’s 1. What should I do before treatment? We recommend that you shave the area to be treated the day of your scheduled appointment. Waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or any other method that removes the hair must be discontinued at least a week prior to treatment. 2. Is it safe? Laser treatments are very safe. Our lasers are FDA approved and use the best technology for delivering the safest treatment. All of our technicians are certified and experienced with providing treatments to fit your needs. 3. Does Laser Hair Removal work on blonde hair or red hair? Dark hair is optimal for effective laser hair removal treatments. There are some cases where we are able to successfully remove red hair follicles but results may vary. Unfortunately our laser technology isn’t able to affect any light color or blonde hair. 4. How many treatments do I need? Laser treatment impairs the growth of hair follicles when they are in the growth (or anagen) cycle at the time of treatment. Unfortunately, not all hair follicles are at this stage at the same time. Therefore, for effective permanent hair removal, most people require approximately 4-6 treatments to achieve the desired results. 5. Who performs the procedures? All laser treatments are performed by our fully trained and certified registered nurses. Our staff is regularly trained to the latest services and technology to fit your needs. 6. Is laser hair removal permanent? Results vary depending on skin and hair type. Studies have shown that many patients can achieve permanent hair reduction of up to 85-90% and remaining hair returns lighter and softer. 7. How does laser hair removal work? The laser targets the darkness of the melanin pigment in the hair follicle. Since melanin is only produced in the growth phase of the hair, the laser must target the hair follicle during this cycle. At any given time, 10-20% of the hair in a particular area may be in a growth phase. Therefore, more than one treatment needs to be scheduled, preferably at 6-8 week intervals. With multiple treatments all hair follicles can be disabled. 8. Is laser hair removal painful? In one pulse, laser removes all the hair on a patch of skin the size of a nickel or a quarter. Generally, laser hair removal is not much more painful than waxing, though the sensation is different. With each pulse, the feeling resembles a rubber band snapping against the skin for a quick second. Pain is only felt while laser is hitting the skin and doesn’t last. 9. Is it safe for darker skin types? Yes. Every day we treat dark skin types with our Yag laser, which is gentler on darker tones. Laser technology has advanced in recent years, and in the past it was difficult or impossible for a client with darker skin to be treated. The Yag laser ensures that darker skin types, can receive effective and safe treatments. 10. How often can I get laser hair removal treatment? Every 5 to 6 weeks.
GFE What is a GFE and why do I need it? GFE stands for Good Faith Examination. A GFE is a screening process that allows our WI-HO staff to properly identify the best suitable way to meet your laser treatment needs. A GFE is required by the state of California to make sure all laser treatment patients are eligible to receive such treatments. We respect our customer’s privacy by maintaining high customer confidentiality standards.
