In this issue, I want to feature sketches of family and friends. Besides one’s own image in the mirror, family members and friends are the easiest subjects to sketch because they are almost always around.

the newspaper. I drew this when I was a teen and it helped me practice capturing common gestures from life, such as the way a person sits and reads.

A college friend of mine in the above sketch... I tried to capture form and shadow as well as posture in this quick Pencil drawing.

When “Where’s Waldo” ‘toons were popular a few years ago I did this “Aussie” version. It’s not TOO hard...but kinda fun.

I think this is the first time I featured Music in the Media Raves section of Tigrikorn... but I really can hardly get enough music from the band Jars of Clay. Their songs are deep and spiritual lyrically yet so cutting edge musically. With fresh vocals and musical innovation, they Most recent album have a sound all their own and have established themselves as band that’s in the contemporary music scene for the long haul.

The band has a great site...it has music samples, photos, news... ALL kinds of great stuff!
