I am grateful for the variety of students that I was lucky enough to work with. In working in apartment style and upperclass traditional housing, I was able to meet, engage and assist students with di erent needs. Also, I worked with many amazing campus partners such as campus facilities, ODU PD and our faculty within the LLCs/TCs.

During my time here at ODU, I have ourished in many ways. In my freshmen year, I joined Student Government Association which taught me how to become a better leader and advocate for others. Also during my freshman year, I started an organzaiton called Foster-U which helps youth in foster care. Without the support of amazing individuals like Taryn Boone, I would not be where I am today. My time living and studying here at ODU has been nothing short of amazing. I am super excited to see where ODU takes me next!

ODU HRL TESTIMONIALS

Being the Peer Mentor for the ROTC LLC has been a highlight in my time here at ODU. Working with freshmen Midshipmen and Cadets has been extremely ful lling and educational, and has helped me to develop professionally and academically. Learning how to hold myself accountable and help set the example for my students has pushed me to become a better student and a better leader. As an aspiring Marine Corps O cer, getting experience in leading like-minded people has provided me with the opportunity to understand di erent learning styles and appreciate the diversity of my community.

Alex A.

This department has pushed me to become the professional that I am today. I know that when I leave here I will have a network of fmily and friends that will cheer me on through any endeavor.

Bethany W.

In my time here, I have grown exponentially, both personally and professionally. I’ve learned valuable experience working in an o ce setting, met some pretty awesome people and have gotten the chance to work under supportive and nurturing leadership.
