Taxonomy Workshop For my taxonomy project, I decided to focus on mobile phones as my arte facts. Mobile phones are a global technological phenomenon, which has moved from being a fad to being a necessity for communication. With over 6 billion mobile devices on the planet, I see it as befitting that they should be the focus of this project. I will be taking pictures of the phones using a (Canon DSLR) categorizing and classifying them. These phones will be randomly selected from family and friends. 70%-80% of mobile phones worldwide are mass-produced or created with components from China. Indigenous Chinese brands also often outsell major brands like the iPhone in China.
