Yarn Splicer Heberlein® AirSplicer-17-2 For knot free joining of all textile filament yarns The Heberlein® AirSplicer-17-2 enables the best splicing quality with flat, clean bound yarn ends with the highest strength. Partly oriented synthetic filament yarns (POY) that are creeled in front of texturing machines can be spliced as well as fine viscose or nylon hosiery yarns, fine carbon and glass fibre yarns or BCF yarns. Splicing of Multifilament Yarns During splicing the ends of two yarns are intermingled using compressed air. The resulting joint exhibits high uniformity and base yarn strength. In contrast to a knotted joint, a splice causes less problems in the following processes since the yarn has a more uniform structure. Area of Application Recommended for the knot free joining of all filament yarns. This versatile splicer is applicable for a titer range from 20 up to 2,500 dtex and up to 400 tex for glass fibers. Product Benefits The robust design of the splicer ensures a problem-free operation, even under severe conditions with the highest splicing quality and longest lifespan. The automatic splicing cycle, independent of the operator, serves to ensure high and reproducible splice quality. Handling The splicing time ranges from 0.5 - 2 seconds and is dependant on the material and air pressure. It can be set freely according to requirements due to the pre-marked adjusting screw for easy reference.
Service For long term cutting tests with new fibre types, our splicing robot with original unit is available for controlled trials and development. For further information please apply to our customer service department.
The blow chambers are easily replaced by releasing two screws.

1 Splicing jet insert (Blow chamber)
For an optimal splicing result the choice of the correct blow chamber, the time of splicing, as well as the air pressure applied corresponding with the type and fineness of the yarn is important. It is also possible to splice yarns over 7 dpf or with more than 150 TPM, subject to trial. For special demands we offer optimisation trials with your yarns.
