Cots and Aprons Accotex® Air Jet Spinning Components The leading parts for revolutionary spinning technologies From the beginning of the air jet spinning era, Oerlikon Textile Components has actively contributed to the success story with its Accotex product line. Cots and aprons for the special process requirements have been developed in cooperation with the machine manufacturers and the practical pioneers of the air jet technology.

The high process speeds with the resulting extremely high fibre throughput rates cause high stresses for cots and aprons. Considering that the amount of fibre material in contact with the products is 20 times higher per time unit than with conventional ring spinning processes, the important development performance concerning durability and stability is obvious.

Benefits of the Accotex® Air Jet Components: Support of the high requirements on the running behaviour in the spinning Excellent service life • Reliable and homogeneous proprocess ducts from delivery to delivery • The new, further improved, knurled due to superior compound techstructure of the Accotex® Apron nology. inner layer supports the high take• Highest possible mechanical, up speeds. dynamical, and thermal stabil• Support when spinning fibres which ity due to sophisticated rubber are difficult to draw or with coarse compounds and manufacturing yarn counts due to a new, improcedures for the Accotex® Air proved basic design of the apron. Jet Cots and Accotex® Air Jet • Reduction of yarn breaks and Aprons. increased machine efficiency due to extremely reduced lapping tendency of Accotex® Air Jet Cots.

Best yarn output quality • Absolutely smooth apron running even under difficult spinning conditions. • Perfect fibre clamping in the drafting zone through sophisticated cot rubber compounds. Reduction of maintenance amount inside process • Excellent cot grindability.

Cots and Aprons Accotex® Air Jet Spinning Recommendation Accotex® Air Jet Cots Back roller cot Our recommendation for the back roller cot for all fibre types and all yarn counts: • Accotex® J 490 with 83 Shore A. Apron drive roller cot The apron drive roller cot supports the smooth running of the top apron. It is the basis for the vibration-free running of the top apron and thus forms the basis for a good fibre guidance with the extremely high drafting speeds in the Air Jet drafting zone. Oerlikon Textile Components recommends for the apron drive roller cot: • Accotex® J 118 with 72 Shore A. Front roller cot Depending on the fibre type, the air jet system requires different bridge lengths on the cot surface. Oerlikon Textile Components as well as the machine manufacturers recommend the following bridge lengths: • Man-made fibres: 16 mm • Blends: 18 mm • Cotton: 22 mm The following Accotex components are recommended for being used as front roller cot: • Accotex® J 490, with 83 Shore A • Accotex® J 476, with 76 Shore A which is mainly used with medium and fine yarn counts, as well as the • Accotex® J 490 S, with 72 Shore A The before recommended cots have proven to be usable for most different applications with all fibre types and their blends as well as when processing regenerated cellulose fibres such as viscose, modal and lyocell.

sate for tension peaks in the spinning process. Depending on the fibre type and yarn count, Oerlikon Textile Components recommends the following nip roller cots: • Accotex® J 490 • Accotex® J 476

Accotex® Air Jet Aprons Apart from a number of parameters, two factors are particularly important for the successful use of an apron in the air jet process: 1. The newly developed special knurling of the apron inner layer, which Nip roller cot guarantees a reduction of the slipThe yarn guidance of Accotex® Nip ping behaviour, with positiv effects in Roller Cots highly influences the conthe spinning process. behaviour of the top and bottom aprons over their entire service life. 2. The defined structure and the special design of an air jet top and bottom apron allow the best possible mechanical, dynamical, and thermal stability with high speeds, which in turn guarantees long apron service lives.
