PLATINUM SPONSOR SESSIONS Industry Short: The New ESG Imperative for Automotive Suppliers Presented by Bain & Company
Bob Brinckman, Associate Partner, Bain & Company Pedro Correa, Partner, Bain & Company The automotive world has rightfully been focused on the transition to EV as its contribution to slowing climate change and delivering on ESG promised. Indeed, the majority of scope 3 emissions in the automotive value chain are generated by the use of gas-powered vehicles. As the EV transformation continues, and downstream scope 3 emissions are significantly reduced, the industry will turn its sights upstream to T1, T2, and T3 manufacturing to identify tangible carbon reduction measures. Automotive OEMs will no longer differentiate on ESG based on converting their production to electric but will pursue aggressive agendas to decarbonize their upstream manufacturing to meet their net zero targets. Bain & Company will share a draft framework on how suppliers can ready their operations for the imminent decarbonization agenda and near-term actions that can be taken to get started – with positive ROI!
about electric vehicles, hybrid models, and charging stations, the real game-changer in the industry is the modern software solutions that are making this high-speed transformation possible. Data-driven digital platforms are the cornerstone of the new era in automotive manufacturing. Static business models are giving way to dynamic, data-driven digital business ecosystems with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration, innovation, and customer alignment are now easier than ever, giving manufacturers and suppliers new routes to success.

QAD will share supply and demand projections for semiconductors and the implications for Auto volumes through 2025. In light of these issues, QAD will share learnings for suppliers to help manage the continued OEM order volatility and semiconductor supply risks.

The End of Globalization? A New World Order and its Impact on Automotive Suppliers Presented by Roland Berger
Brandon Boyle, Senior Partner, Head of Automotive Americas, Roland Berger Stephan Keese, Senior Partner, Head of Industrial Americas, Roland Berger The world order is changing and it is impacting automotive suppliers across the globe. Geopolitical divergence between China, Russia, Europe and the US in addition to the rise of nationalism/populism are all contributing factors to the new world order. Supply chains are heavily disrupted, costs of raw materials are sky rocketing, and the decrease in global synergies are impacting suppliers. The current global landscape is forcing automotive suppliers to face tomorrow’s implications today. Roland Berger is proud to introduce scenarios and a framework for suppliers to navigate the new world.

Developing a Future-Ready Workforce: How Suppliers Can Build the Capabilities to Compete Presented by RSM
Cathy Gutierrez, Workforce Transformation & DE&I Automotive Leader, Deloitte Consulting LLC Automotive suppliers are facing an unprecedented array of workforce challenges ranging from the shortage of available talent and at rapidly evolving business environment driven by technology transformation. The imperative to attract, upskill, reward, and retain talent is stronger than ever – but so is the need to develop new capabilities to meet the changing demands of the marketplace. The industry has reached a critical inflection point – where traditional workforce strategies based on balancesheet FTEs are no longer adequate to meet an organization’s full range of needs. In short, companies need new models and new playbooks to make their workforce truly future-ready.
