On Your

Behalf

Happy New Year! I hope you had a safe and peaceful holiday season.

Toward the end of 2021, the OESA team conducted a review of the association’s strategic priorities. We discussed new initiatives to support the evolving needs of our members while addressing the dynamic changes occurring within the industry. The team is excited about the opportunities the new year will bring, and we have already started to make enhancements: OESA Events via Virtual Platform During the early days of the pandemic, we moved all programming to a virtual format. This year, OESA is pleased to offer a hybrid format for most OESA industry events and meetings. To accommodate broader participation, attendees will have the option of participating in person or virtually. New Councils and Council Initiatives This year, we will launch the Emerging Leaders Council (ELC). Replacing the Young Leadership Council, the ELC will offer participants greater exposure to industry peers, and more leadership training opportunities and hands-on workshops. The MEMA-wide DEI Council will be enhanced to include regional and community outreach opportunities for all supplier members. The Plant Operations Council will continue to meet 100% virtually to accommodate plant managers’ on-site schedule. New Programming OESA continues to offer relevant and timely programming based on the issues of the industry. This year, we will launch the "Automotive Insiders" podcast hosted by industry veteran Jason Stein, and expand the professional development Master Class Series. Also watch for additional programming on the semiconductor shortage, supply chain disruptions and the legislative issues that are impacting the automotive industry. We are in uncertain times and new era in automotive. The team at OESA looks forward to working with you to champion your business interests during the best and most challenging times in the industry. Thank you for your support of OESA and the opportunity to serve you. As always, please feel free to contact me at 248.430.5963 or jfream@oesa.org.
