Welcome to our 1st OESD/ Scissortail Stitches Yearbook! The theme for our class of 2019/2020 embroidery designs is growth. This class represents the best of new ideas and innovation from the OESD team. From fun and cute appliques, innovative new freestanding lace, to a stunning new tiling scene, our artists and digitizers pushed to deliver the best collection of designs we have ever released. A few of our highlights from the year: • In June, we launched our little sister Scissortail Stitches, with a fresh, new take on machine embroidery. Featuring the same great artistry and quality as OESD designs, these new designs truly represent “embroidery of a different feather™” • Our growing team moved to our new office in Oklahoma City! Our new space doubles our previous home, expands our digitizing and testing departments, and doubles our warehouse capacity. We added our very own “Education Center” onsite for our customers to visit and learn with the amazing OESD education team! • Our art and digitizing team grew. We promoted one of our long-time graphic designers to digitizers, and a new artist joined our team. We also created 90+ embroidery collections and over 1,800 embroidery designs! We reached for new freestanding lace heights with our Halloween Pumpkin Patch, Freestanding Train, and Freestanding Nativity Scene. Many of you enjoyed stitching our tiling scene O Holy Night; truly a labor of love honoring the most holy of nights. The amazing artists that contributed artwork for the 2019/2020 class include: Ann Lauer, Amanda Murphy, Urban Elementz, Cynthia Frenette, Granny’s Legacy, Leah Day, Tula Pink, Crabapple Hill, Krista Hamrick, Cindy Lindgren, Mary Tanana, Jackie Robinson, Kari Carr, Gerri Robinson, Shannon Roberts, Dona Gelsinger, and Lisa Archer. We are so thankful for their partnership and creativity, and the artistic diversity they bring to OESD. Our biggest thanks go to you, our customers. Thank you for supporting OESD and allowing us to do what we love.
