Etwinning school 220

Baku Azerbaijan


6 schools from Azerbaijan have been awarded the eTwinning School Label after a two-part application process. These awarded schools are pioneers and are recognized as leaders in areas such as, digital safety, esafety practice, innovative and creative approaches to pedagogy, promoting continuous professional development of staff and promoting collaborative learning practices with staff and students. This is not only recognition of personal success of individual teachers but also an acknowledgment of the great achievement of the entire eTwinning team


School- lyceum 220 joined to etwinning plus in 2013 with two teachers , at present the number of teachers participating in etwinning plus project increased up to 28.

Teachers are participating in 175 projects in total

 

eSafety is an integral part of several school policiesSchool- lyceum 220 named after Arastun Mahmudov e-Safety Policy Introduction The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all staff, parents, governors and children understand and agree the school's approach to e-safety. The policy relates to other policies including ICT curriculum, Internet Access, Bullying, Child Protection and Health and Safety. Writing and reviewing the e-Safety policy The school has a designated e-safety co-ordinator. The e-Safety policy has been agreed by the senior management team and approved by the governors.


Managing emerging technologies Mobile phones must not be used during lessons. The sending of abusive or inappropriate text messages is forbidden. Only school cameras or netbooks are used by both staff and children for educational purposes. Netbooks used by pupils do not have an assigned email address and therefore do not currently enable the upload of data.


Advantages of eTwinning Students have opportunities to get acquainted with the tradition, living style and culture of partnering countries by communicating with foreign students in the existing eTwinning network; Teachers gain methods of learning new skills and knowledge without leaving the schools; Teachers have opportunities to participate in international training and courses on their professional development; Teachers participate in international courses on the evaluation of students; Teachers and students get experience on the use of media and internet resources Teachers and students get different international certificates and awards.
