What is poverty? ď‚ž

Poverty is one of the most important problems of today's world. Although different sizes for developed or developing countries, the problem of poverty is among the priority issues waiting for a solution. The order of global capitalism, in which the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, leads to an increase in many social problems.

Poverty is the lack of sufficient income to meet all or a large part of daily basic needs. In particular, poverty can be defined as difficult or inaccessible access to basic needs such as food, drinks, housing, clothing. However, in some developed countries there is a change in the standards of this definition. Poverty can be defined as the inability of people to meet their basic needs. Poverty has been used in many studies in the sense of lack of employment, housing, health services, education and social life.



What are the causes of poverty? ď‚ž

Poverty can arise for different reasons from country to country or from geography to geography. Among the main reasons are environmental, economic, political and social reasons.


1.Environmental Causes Among the most obvious signs of poverty, environmental factors such as natural disasters, desertification, drought, as well as natural factors can come; natural destruction caused by human destruction such as overgrazing and destruction of forests can also lead to poverty. In addition, poverty can be caused by geographical features. For example; poverty can be seen in an area that is not suitable for energy production or agriculture. False fertilization, excessive waste of water, sometimes used in areas where agriculture is favorable, can cause scarcity and poverty in the region. Poverty is inevitable in regions where water and nutrients are insufficient. ď‚ž 2.Economic reasons Unemployment is one of the obvious reasons of poverty. Poor quality fuels selected from inadequacy of conditions, environmental soen food wastes, trigger poverty. Due to economic deficiencies, water wastes in irrigation trigger poverty as a result of ď‚ž





What is hungar? ď‚ž

A person who needs to eat and who has to eat cannot find food is called hunger. The lack of food occurs when one cannot find anything to eat. Collective hunger is the result of drought and famine. The existence of hunger, especially at a time when the vaccine production increases, pushes people to investigate environmental trends. Production surpluses have started to decline with environmental problems. This will make it difficult to feed the growing population. From a global point of view, the main indicator of outgoing population growth and poor environmental management may be food shortages in the near future.

The World Food Program (WFP), a UN affiliate, published the “World Hunger Map in 2001.. According to this; It is stated that 525 million out of 3 billion people living in Asia - Pacific region are undernourished. In Eritrea and Ethiopia, one in three people are malnourished. Malnutrition was 9% in the Near East and North Africa region and 11% in Latin America. The countries where hunger and malnutrition are most common are; Afghanistan and North Korea in Asia, Colombia in South America, Sudan, Africa, Guinea, Sierra Leona and Angola. WFP announced an international charity campaign to prevent nearly 980 million people from starving this year.
