May 14th-16th 2017

Maastricht - The Netherlands

Dear EPCAS member, Dear EPCAS friend, After the successful pilot edition and the first official module of the European Event Catering Academy (EECA) in 2016, we gladly invite you for the upcoming Earth Module of the EECA. This module will take place from Sunday May 14th to Tuesday May 16th, in Maastricht, The Netherlands. Throughout the year we have received plenty of feedback from the participants, the EPCAS Advisory Council and our members. All this feedback has been taken into consideration to ensure an even better edition this May. This EECA module will revolve around the backbone of your company. It will focus on the base of the company; processes, structure and finance. The participants will share their experiences and knowledge, and envision the future of their companies. Besides that, we offer the participants the tools to get the most out of their teams, colleagues, and themselves. Together with our academic partner, Stenden Hotel Management School, and our partner in talent development, Q-staff, we have composed a well-balanced and interactive programme, with enough time to reflect on and process the information given. We look forward to welcoming your talent(s) in Maastricht! Kind regards, On behalf of the EPCAS Board, Advisory Council and Secretariat,

Ruedi Bachmann EPCAS President

WHY EECA? The catering industry is changing rapidly. New trends emerge, economies are blurring and business models are evolving. Members of Generation Y gather their knowledge online and use the internet to gain information. But you can’t Google experience! Therefore, more and more universities are offering programmes that are focused on the further development of industry professionals. From hotel management to environmental entrepreneurship – the offer is extended. Many of these programmes, however, focus on the hospitality industry in general. Therefore, to further develop and retain high potentials in the catering and event industry, we have developed the European Event Catering Academy (EECA). The EECA is a tailor-made programme, created by experts. The subjects taught are future proof and international. We offer a wellbalanced combination of knowledge taught by professors and industry professionals, as well as leadership skills, empowerment and insight in personal behavioural styles.

Initiators The EECA is an initiative of the European Party Caterer Association (EPCAS), the platform connecting directors and owners of leading European catering companies. The goals of EPCAS are building friendships, delivering quality content, sharing knowledge & experiences and improving the catering industry as a whole. By setting up the European Event Catering Academy to develop talent within the industry, we believe that we will make a big impact. By partnering up with Stenden Hotel Management School, one of the leading international hospitality schools, and international training company Q-staff, we are convinced that we are able to offer an appealing and well-balanced programme.

MapsTell

Leadership

MapsTell uses PersonalMapping™ to help understand human behaviour by putting people on the map, literally. The insights it gives, enable people to get the best out of themselves and work more effectively with others. MapsTell is modelled on the DISC personality system developed by William Marston.

How to successfully lead a team, at any level? Lead with purpose. This training focuses on the base of the company; processes, structure and finance. The participants will receive the proper tools to develop their knowledge to an excellent level.

Hospitality The Game Empowerment Training This training focuses on setting and reaching personal or professional goals. The keywords of empowerment are dreaming, daring, doing and persisting. Starting with personal strengths and talents, we will shape a vision, strategy and eventually success!

What is hospitality? We believe that everybody has a level of hospitality in them. Sometimes it is more visible, but it is often unconscious behaviour. It is therefore important to identify and secure the conscious behaviour. In an interactive and above all playful evening, you will learn more about the impact of your behaviour towards guests and each other.
