RUNNER’S PARADISE Running is a way of life in Hurricane Valley. In the early mornings and evenings, runners can be seen all over the City, especially along the country roads [Drivers are encouraged to be very cautious]. The great weather, limited traffic and scenery make running in Hurricane Valley a first-class experience. Not surprisingly, running enthusiasts who have discovered this area have made it the location of numerous fun-runs and competitive racing events. Whether you are an occasional runner or a marathon enthusiast, or somewhere in between, there is something for everyone in Hurricane Valley. BAKER’S DOZEN HALF MARATHON The Baker’s Dozen is a fun, social event held in December, where runners race around a 3.25 mile loop course, while interacting with other runners and enjoying treats along the way. Half marathoners will run the loop four times and have the incredible fortune of passing the aid station (affectionately known as the “Sugar Shack”) at the end of every loop.
