DANISH MARINE & OFFSHORE GROUP “Together we are strong!” was the fundamental idea behind Danish Marine & Offshore Group (DMOG) when the association was created in 2001 as a sales network for suppliers and manufacturers within the offshore and marine industries. Today, the association still works according to this idea. The goal of the association is to create a new platform for cooperation and knowledge sharing across trade lines matching the latest customer demands, and to promote Danish export of marine and offshore products by creating joint system solutions. DMOG’s members’ target group comes from the offshore oil & gas and wind or shipping industries or are ship builders connected to the offshore sector. Today, these customers are to a higher extent looking for system solutions rather than single products. Due to global competition and demand for greater cost efficiency, the oil and gas industry looks for new innovative ways of doing business, for example alliancing, outsourcing and partnering. Knowledge sharing and cooperation between manufacturers and suppliers through networks like DMOG create synergy and innovation of great advantage to customers. The advantages achieved from strategic cooperation are many: • • • •

The Danish offshore supplier association “Danish Marine & Offshore Group” is proud to present our members in the catalogue for 2018. Danish Marine & Offshore Group (DMOG) is a non-profit, member-based organisation – independent of any governmental support. The association celebrated its 15th anniversary in the fall of 2016 and has been active for 16 years now. The main objective is to help its well-respected member companies to pursue global opportunities and make their business grow by offering their competence as suppliers of products and services to the offshore sector. DMOG organises seminars, workshops, member meetings, trade missions and participates in offshore exhibitions worldwide. On a daily basis, DMOG is run by its secretariat where all members can find help and support for various issues related to their engagement in the offshore industry e.g. get in contact with the wide, international network. DMOG will continue the focus on strengthening its know-how and business opportunities as well as building alliances and exploring new markets for the benefit of the member companies. DMOG is a member of EUROnet – a collaboration of oil and gas organisations in Europe – and works together with a wide network of International Partners. The advantages of such alliances include among others better power of penetration, which strengthens the image and visibility of the individual company. 2017 has been full of uncertainty and many member companies are still affected by the low oil price. However, the DMOG management also meets optimism and growth as a counterpoise to the challenging times. The low oil price is both a challenge and an opportunity for the industry, who is forced to focus on cost effective solutions. This means implementing new technologies and improving processes. The challenges in today’s industry lead to a sense of disruption and hereby the opportunity to explore new market areas. Many suppliers have adapted their competences from offshore oil & gas and are looking for new ways of using their skills, know-how and experience in the offshore wind and refining. The conditions and demands for the suppliers to offshore wind and offshore oil & gas are very often similar and this is why so many suppliers cover both industries.
