YOUR AURAL GUIDE:

THE PEOPLE WHO LEFT

Works by Keith Kelly. Keith Kelly (soprano, tenor sax, bass clarinet, flute); Ari Chersky (guitar); Shaun Lowecki (drums); Doug Stuart (upright bass) Availble from Edgetone Records "The People Who Left is a way to name all of the folks (your own self included) who came before. They are gone and will always be gone. We are always becoming, but that also means we are always leaving. Final thoughts: You must pay attention; you must not ignore what is now, or shirk away." Edgy yet delicate, "The People Who Left" has a beautiful ability to invoke nostalgia with modern sounds. Pairs well with whiskey on the rocks and hot summer nights.

LINE UP

Electronic works by Antony T. Marasco A 201 3 re-master of Marasco's debt album. It's a digital sprucing up of beautiful, stream-lined material. Just because it's last season, doesn't mean it's out of style yet. Line Up is confidant and to the point. It doesn't ramble, and is able to take the listener on satisflying 2-8 minute journeys. We highly recommend listening with an imperial IPA of your choosing and a comfortable flannel shirt (weather permitting).

Sweet Sounds from the Summer and What to Ear this Fall! !

SONIC FLUX

This electronic and electroacoustic compilation is the result of the hard working mind-brains of composers Cody Brookshire and Brian Kelly. Sonic Flux is released under EMPiRES (Electronic Music Production Recording Series), which is co-directed by Brookshire and Kelly. Performers: Adam Cuthbert (trmpet), William Price (toy sax) Elizabeth Kennedy Bayer (flute) Corey Klein (horn) Composers: David Biedenbender Brian Kelly Adam Cuthbert Joshua Marquez William Price Cody Brookshire Elizabeth Kennedy Bayer J.L. Marie, John Hennecken Jason H. Mitchell "EMPiRES is a new music collective focusing on producing and publishing compilation albums of electronic and electroacoustic music. ... Here in this first compilation volume, an abundance of metalic timbres, can be found in many works, contrasted by other works which focus on continuous flow in their construction. Given these traits and the fusing of them as presented with this compilation, the album is titled Sonic Flux." We recommend listening with a Silver Bullet (gin, scotch, lemon peel).

Missing Person: Pianist Bonapart Clavichord Last seen before he fell into a piano during a performance of George Crumb's Makrokosmos. The performance was held in the basement of a bar in Williamsburg. Due to the following missed days of lessons, funeral gigs, and dog-walking appointments, Clavichord has fallen behind on rent, student loan payments, and the rental fee for the basement of a bar in Williamsburg. He is wanted by his landlord, the Department of Education, several pugs called "Pookie", and a bitter, hipster bar owner. If he is found, please contact one of the few friends who weren't hanging on to Bonapart to squeeze out a few free performanes from him. Clavichord was last seen wearing decade old spectacles, a black t-shirt, black pants, and decade old jogging shoes.
