RETAIL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Internship Description: The multi-faceted Retail Sales Leadership Program provides participants with training and experiences that will prepare them to step into retail management positions and launch a promising, progressive career with the skills and confidence that ensure success. Core components of the program which is conducted in Atlanta at AT&T’s wireless division headquarters, include: • Intensive 6-month focus on developing leadership, management and coaching skills • Classroom training and practical, hands-on assignments – both individual and team-oriented • On-site, in-store rotations interacting and learning from our very best retail experts • Includes working in a retail store for 6 weeks so you are fully prepared when you graduate from the program! Once you graduate, you will be placed in a retail store location. There, your responsibilities will be to: • Develop and lead a professional retail sales team to ensure achievement of store/kiosk revenue targets, operational goals and 100% customer satisfaction. • Supervise the overall daily operation of a store including hiring, coaching, disciplining, and scheduling of employees to ensure cost effective and quality Store Operations. • Ensure customer satisfaction. • Maintain inventories at adequate levels, promote sales, and maintain the appearance of the store. • Complete accounting and paperwork associated with cash receipts and prices and conduct physical inventories. • Meet assigned sales performance and profitability criteria. • Set appropriate individual performance standards for the store/kiosk in line with national standards. • Develop, implement and monitor a store prospecting plan to increase sales. • Facilitate and participate in weekly staff training/educational sessions to increase knowledge, create high levels of motivation, and inspire team to achieve results. • Establish and monitor store/kiosk work schedules and staffing issues to effectively manage payroll expenses. • Exhibit a high level of leadership presence within all aspects of the business and other internal departments. • Effectively manage profit and loss responsibility for store/kiosks and protect company assets. • Analyze various business reports for trend analysis and strategic planning purposes. You will be responsible for all functions of the retail store/kiosk to include sales, customer service, inventory, and technical troubleshooting. You will maintain internal visual merchandising and in-store displays and ensure store appearance meets company standards at all times. You will analyze transactions to continuously find methods to simplify procedures, improve processes, and maximize resources. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: • Must in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in the next 10 months or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree within the past year • Demonstrated leadership abilities • Strong written and verbal communication skills

ART + PRODUCTION INTERN Internship Description: The art and production internship at Rhode Island Monthly is an opportunity to experience working in an art and production department at a successful magazine. The intern works on sell sheets, signage, web promotions, and other materials for the marketing department and magazine events, both for Rhode Island Monthly magazine and its affiliated publications such as Engaged, Home Design, and others. The intern gains experience in helping to create a unified look for the Rhode Island Monthly brand, under the tutelage of experienced designers. The intern also helps with other projects at the magazine as needed, including production department assistance, and assisting art directors by gathering art and photo research. ARTS & RESEARCH INTERNSHIP Internship Description: WaterFire is first and foremost a evolving artistic expression that tries to greet its visitors with something new each and every time they visit. To accomplish that a lot of thought and effort goes into preparing each event and the performance pieces within them. It is a broad and allencompassing task to accomplish and WaterFire is currently looking for Intern to help with this effort. This Intern would be involved in all aspects of the event for the purpose of learning not only how a public art organization operates but also how we can collectively communicate our message and vision. They would get experience in marketing, graphic design; grant making, production, artic expression, and merchandising. LIPPER INTERNSHIP FOR HOLOCAUST EDUCATION Internship Description: Since fall 1998, the Lipper Internship has brought together graduate and undergraduate students from across the Northeast to train in New York City for a semester-long internship in museum education. Prior to the beginning of the semester Interns attend an intensive 10-day training session at the Museum to learn how to teach public middle and high school students about the Holocaust. During training Interns meet with Museum staff, hear testimony from Holocaust survivors, and learn methods for teaching from artifacts in the Museum's collection. Following training, Interns work in pairs, visiting several middle and high schools in their college communities to implement the three parts of the Internship program. Qualifications: The semester-long program is designed for college and graduate students from a variety of fields and backgrounds. Student Requirements 2.5 GPA or higher Minimum 60 credits prior to internship Available free elective credit – student should meet with an academic advisor to confirm credits Good academic and social standing

Hours and Credits Earn FREE ELECTIVE credits for ITR 302 (field experience) and ITR 304 (seminar) Students earn PASS/FAIL credit for their field experience (3,6, 9, or 12 credits) Students will enroll in a 3-credit seminar offered in class or online Seminar focuses on the intern’s learning experience as well as professional and career development, making the connection between academic background and practical experience.
