SUPERINTENDENT It is difficult to summarize the activities of this past calendar year without reference to the abundant blessings of God upon the Oklahoma Assemblies of God Fellowship since our initial launch in June 1914. Only two months following the Hot Springs, Arkansas organizational meeting which established The General Council of the Assemblies of God, a group of preachers met under a tent on the banks of the Arkansas River in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the rest is now history.
The Message states this passage as follows: Then he said, “This is God’s Message to Zerubbabel: ‘You can’t force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!’”
We owe a great debt to those who have gone before; those that preached the Gospel during difficult times; and those whose leadership and influence have afforded us the opportunities that we often merely take for granted. I esteem and value the following list of men, all of whom have already entered into their eternal reward. They served this Oklahoma Fellowship as District Superintendents (originally referred to as District Chairmen):

We stand on their shoulders! They are the ones to whom honor is due and the strength of the Oklahoma District is directly due to their lives, ministries and leadership! We face challenges around our world that are unprecedented. Every generation has required the anointing of God and today is no different. This past year I have been reminded again and again, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”

For believing that the Assemblies of God can and will have a healthy church in every one of our 77 counties in Oklahoma To the church planters that will set a goal of planting a church for every 5,000 individuals that make up the population of Oklahoma To the hundreds who have already become “Oklahoma Storm Chasers” as we commit to enlisting 1,000 individuals who will contribute a minimum of $1,000 toward the F5-rated storm shelter for our district camp To every church that will pursue a faith promise pledge toward “We Love Campers” by finding a $400 sponsor for every student between the ages of 8 and 18 that is part of your church. This will make “The Dream” a reality For the privilege you have afforded me by allowing me to serve this church in this capacity To the army of credentialed ministers and churches that are the heartbeat of the OKAG For the team of men and women that make up the ministry staff that so faithfully serve this Fellowship through our district office For blessing my life by giving me a fantastic group of men and women to serve by my side as part of our District Presbytery To Linda, my beloved companion, who has stood by my side in ministry every day since our wedding date – August 14, 1970 (almost 48 years) For joining me in believing that the greatest days for God’s Kingdom are ahead and not behind

MISSIONS REPORT It has been an honor beyond words to serve our fellowship in this role as Missions Director and Executive Pastor. Michelle and I are so very thankful to partner with you and, more specifically, our missionary family around the world. We truly have some of the brightest and strategically placed global servants anywhere, and we are blessed to serve them.
our annual conference and the three particular roundtables. Our Century Leadership guests included Greg Surratt, Jim Cymbala, Brady Boyd, Kent Ingle, Larry Osborne, and Phil Vischer. Appreciation also is extended to our Century Leadership Lead Team who served us so well last year: Rob McClure, Clint Smith, Kevin Conner, Kathy Key and Jayson Evans.
Oklahoma Assemblies of God continues to be a leading voice for world evangelism. Presently, our local churches are sending out 85 U.S. and World missionary units, representing over 26 countries and various ministry points, which include Teen Challenge Centers and ministry to Native Americans. Also, our missions’ endeavors identify 17 chaplains that reach out to our prison systems and care facilities around the state. Thanks to our missionaries and the churches that send them, we are making a tremendous difference for the Kingdom of God, and our impact together is continuing to grow.
Michelle and I consider it a tremendous pleasure to serve our Oklahoma Assemblies of God family, and are blessed by the numerous opportunities afforded to us by serving in this role. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your continued support and friendship. By God’s strategic and generous grace, fruitful days are ahead, for His glory.
A personal ministry highlight came as a result of visiting some of our missionaries during the summer of last year. The trip consisted of attending the Central Eurasia and Arab World Conference in Visegrad, Hungary as well as touring a Syrian refugee outreach center in Vienna, Austria. My family and I were privileged to spend a meaningful amount of time with five Oklahoma missionary units serving in this sensitive area of the world. Ethan and Emma ministered among missionary kids during the conference. And, Michelle and I were blessed to personally engage our missionaries over coffee, lunch or dinner. We arrived home with an overflowing sense of awareness and gratitude for what our missionary family is doing and how to serve them more effectively.

The many Facetime and Skype meetings along with in-person connections and ministry visits with our missionary family this past year have been essential in knowing how to better serve our family of global servants. A special thanks to Robin Johnson, my Administrative Assistant, is most appropriate, as she has represented our ministry so capably. She is known for her relational and organizational gifts, serving our office’s various responsibilities. An additional responsibility is my continued oversight of Century Leadership. 2017 marked the fifth year of this leadership development initiative. Growing participation was represented at

CHURCH REPORT In 2017, we have had many blessings to be thankful for in the Church Ministries Department. Our hearts are full of praise as we consider the tremendous opportunity that God has given us to serve the Oklahoma District in this capacity. We cannot say thank you enough to our Heavenly Father who has allowed us to be used for His glory. It is truly an honor to be a part of what God is doing in the Oklahoma District and around the world! We are grateful for the many that have walked with us through this journey and have encouraged us along the way with your words of kindness, generosity, time and talents. Each member of our team has been invaluable to us personally, as well as, instrumental in seeing the ministries of this department, move forward. We appreciate each one and the support we have received as we endeavor to follow the Lord’s leading in all that we are privileged to do. We want to say a special thank you to Bailey Fallett who served as our Administrative Assistant and did a great job. We were disappointed to lose her in the office, but were excited for Russ, Bailey and Corbin as they followed God’s leading to fill a youth position in Texas. We are certainly thankful for their time here and pray God’s blessing on them as they faithfully serve in this vital area of ministry! We are excited to have the newest member of our team, Ginger Foster who is serving the department as our new Administrative Assistant. She came into the office during the busiest time of the year for our department, but handled everything with grace and a lot of hard work! She has done a great job of learning the many facets of this ministry and we look forward to what God is going to do through her life and skills! Special thanks to Sherri Anderson who serves as our Assistant for the Oklahoma School of Ministry. She has done an amazing job in helping us train and develop students to fulfill the calling God has placed on their lives. We also want to say thank you to Mark and Nancy Fitzgerald who have served so faithfully in leading the Oklahoma Spanish School of Ministry. This vital area has seen tremendous growth in training leaders who are strengthening the Spanish Ministries across the state!

Thank you to the many volunteers who have been faithful to serve: Martin and Janice Perryman, our Senior Adult Ministries Coordinators, Gary and Debbie Pratt our Single Adult Coordinators, our Light for the Lost Reps from the 14 sections, the great Steak Teams and churches who hosted LFTL banquets, the Rural Church Committee, the Men’s Ministries Lead Team and those who helped plan and lead during our Men’s Conference. We are blessed to have so many talented and gifted individuals on our team!! As we look forward to the years to come, we are praying that God’s richest blessings would rest upon each pastor and church across the state. May God bless our efforts to see each minister, ministry, and church not only be healthy, but also effective in the mission field that God has blessed you with. If Nyree or I can do anything to partner with you in your leadership role and in your local church, feel free to give us a call. We are honored to have the opportunity to serve! Respectfully submitted, Chad and Nyree Brodrick
WOMEN’S REPORT Holy Hunger! That’s how I would describe what we have experienced in our Fellowship this past year among the Women of Oklahoma and it’s been nothing short of amazing. Friends, I can’t remember the last time I saw people “running to the altars” to respond to a message. However, that’s exactly what we saw at our first ever, bilingual Daughters Conference last September. On Friday and Saturday, we witnessed hundreds of women filled and refilled with the power of the Holy Spirit! They crammed into the altars, not even waiting for the speakers to finish the invitation and a roar could be heard, of women crying out to God. It was loud. It was sustained. It was unforgettable AND, I have to say, it was an answer to my Women’s Ministries Team, prayers and fasting. Jesus admonished us in Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who HUNGER…for they shall be FILLED.” (NIV Emphasis Added) One could also paraphrase this in Reverse and be accurate. Jesus doesn’t fill the “Satisfied.” Last year, we put out a challenge to the Women of Oklahoma, to begin to hunger for MORE. Friends, there’s more to Church than “Casual Christianity.” Our lives and our ministries are either Supernatural, or they are Superficial. We are either full of ourselves, or we’re full of HIM. We are either walking in the Power of the Spirit, or we are walking in our own strength. Casual Christianity saunters in, sits down, settles and becomes “Satisfied.” Satisfaction doesn’t hunger for MORE. Satisfaction is an enemy of the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. This narrative is how we challenged our Women last year and they responded by the hundreds! I compiled page after page of testimony threads from the women and students of our State, who contacted me personally and shared it with our leadership team and Pastor Cargill – we collectively gave praise to God for what He did in our women’s lives last year. Time and space doesn’t permit me to print these testimonies here but suffice to say, we have seen bondages and addictions broken, family relationships restored, miraculous healings and other answers to prayer over this last year because we dared to hunger for MORE. To God be the Glory! Our heart-felt appreciation is herein expressed to the Directors of our Spanish Ministries, Mark and Nancy Fitzgerald and to their daughter, Angela Medina, for their fine assistance in making our celebratory bilingual event run smoothly and for Angela’s countless hours spent in translation of many forms of media, into Español. The Bridge AG Church in Mustang, OK (Pastor Jim McNabb,) for hosting our 2017 bilingual Daughters Conference and now, we look forward to returning there again this year, Friday, September 14 – Saturday, September 15, 2018 for another great bilingual Daughters Conference with an emphasis on “Warfare Prayer” Don’t Miss it Friends!
Additionally, I want to thank our Administrative Assistant, Ginger Foster for her tireless work and excellent attention to detail in our office and at our Event sites. Also, we simply could not do what we do without the amazing Women’s Board members that faithfully serve with me in this ministry. This team consists of 14 Sectional Women’s Reps and 7 Impact Team members. They are all great leaders and Proverbs 31 women in their own right and I am grateful for how they love God, this Fellowship and lead with excellence! They are as follows: Sectional Reps - Julie Allred, Section 1, Cathy Williams, Section 2, Kim Bradley, Section 3, ReBecca Yandell, Section 4, Rhonda Rock, Section 5E, Cheryl James, Section 5W, Loraine Jenkins, Section 6, Vonda Dotson, Section 7, Rita Rhoads, Section 8, Vada Dwaileebe, Section 9S, Maria Allen, Section 9N, Debbie Pratt, Section 10, Christy Freeman, Section 11 and Khristy Russ, Section 12. Impact Team Deana Smith, Kay Couch, Linda Goldner, Andrea Miller, Shirley Ophus, Bridgette Tomlin and Ginger Foster. Thank you Ladies! Undoubtedly, it is a high honor of mine, to “Lead by Serving” every day in this office. I count it a privilege to SEND missionaries, pour into Women and Girls through mentoring and to travel our great State speaking or presenting Women’s Ministry at Sectional Councils, Women’s Group Events and local Church services throughout the year. Thank you for your continued confidence. I am blessed to have this opportunity in my life. In 2017, Oklahoma ranked #2 in the Nation, in AG District Women’s Mission’s Giving. Our Oklahoma District women are mighty powerhouses, that help to send Missionaries, sustain Teen Challenge Centers, provide monetarily for Children’s Care Agencies; and countless other worthy financial endeavors throughout the year. Last year, we operated on a budget of more than $325,000 and gave $172,126 to foreign and U.S. Missions. Thank you to every church and individual who pledged and gave to our 2017 L.I.F.E. Missionary Fund! (Ladies Investing For Eternity) “They can GO because we GIVE.” Thank you! Friends, if I can serve you or the women of your church in any way, please reach out to me at Susie.Purkey@okag.org and I will strive to accommodate your requests. YOUTH REPORT We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the churches and student ministries of the Oklahoma District this past year as District Youth Directors. As we have completed our tenth year serving in this role, God has given us a new assignment. Jill and I have accepted the role of Director of Victory Family School of Leadership at Victory Family Church in Norman, Oklahoma under the leadership of Adam and Kristy Starling. Without a doubt we have been honored to serve the District through the OYM events, however it’s the cultivating and building of personal relationships across our District that is the most rewarding and we believe most important. We want to thank the ministers of the Oklahoma District over the last ten years for their support and allowing us the opportunity to share our heart for student ministry and missions in their pulpits. Our ministry consisted of church services, revivals, youth services, conventions, University/college/high school chapels, camps, rallies, retreats and STL Tour and services. We love the students of this generation and the youth pastors who lead them and it is our continued desire to develop generations to lead. During this past year we have led the following District activities: Speed-The Light Tour, SYNERGY Youth Leader’s Conference, SYNERGY One Days, PK Retreat, Bible Quiz, Fine Arts Festival, Christian Fun Day, six Youth Camps, Convergence Youth Convention and Youth Pastor’s Retreat. We participated in many of the normal National Events such as DYD and One Voice Conference, National STL Banquet, National Fine Arts and the SAGU Board of Regents! I appreciate the youth committee for their help and ideas in leading the student ministries of this state. We also want to thank Miriam Luginu for all of her hard work and dedication to the OYM team. I’m very thankful for my family: Seth is graduating high school next month and preparing for the new season ahead. Jill and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year, there is really something cool about building a life together! I love the journey! Grayson would be 10 getting ready to turn 11. We look forward to seeing him again one day!

CHILDREN’S REPORT It is hard to believe that we are eight and a half years into our season here at the District Office as the Director of Children’s Ministries for the Oklahoma District. I could never have imagined in my years as serving as a children’s pastor in the local church, that God would have afforded me the opportunity to serve kids and Children’s Ministries Leaders in this capacity. Please know that it is a call that we do not take lightly and strive for excellence when it comes to serving our district.
and privilege to serve alongside the greatest team in the General Council!
Thank you so much to our pastors and churches that have opened your churches for meetings and events over the past year. Whether it was for our Children’s Workers Conference, Fun Arts, Children’s Pastors’ meeting, or a Kids Crusade, your hospitality and support is beyond measure. Thank you for standing with us and supporting OCM!

We look forward to what God has in store for us, as well as the future of Oklahoma Children’s Ministries. Respectfully submitted,
Thanks so much to the men and women that make up our Oklahoma Children’s Ministries Committee. Thank you for giving your time, talent and ideas to help make decisions on what and how to minister to kids all across Oklahoma! Joy and I treasure our time together with you guys. The umbrella of Oklahoma Children’s Ministries is made up of many specialized ministries as well. Royal Rangers, Girl’s Ministries, JBQ, and BGMC continue to thrive under the direction of each one our gifted and talented coordinators: District Royal Ranger Commander – Sid McCoy, District Girl’s Ministries Coordinator – Liz Moon, Junior Bible Quiz Coordinator – Steve Grisham and District BGMC Coordinator, Bev Robertson. I am thankful for the direction that each of these ministries are heading. Thanks to each of our coordinators for their tireless efforts in striving for the best for our kids. As I have said this time and time again, I cannot do what God has called me to do without my wonderful wife and ministry partner, Joy. Thanks for standing beside me as we continue on this journey together. Also to our other half of the home team, D.J. and Tori. Thanks for being a great help to Mom and I. We love watching you surrender your lives to the call that God has placed on each one of you. Finally, thank you to Pastor Frank Cargill and the rest of the Oklahoma District team. Our family is very appreciative of the love, support, and prayers that go up for us from this body. I count it an honor
