A true story about my friends the Glibies...
Let me tell you a story...
Glibies were all the same...
They lived on a planet far away. They were really bored.
They played the same little flute, the same tune, the same sound all the time.

When he blew into it, the sound was completely different.
It sounded very nice!
This Gliby became very, very happy. The others did not know what to think.
They all shaped their flutes differently...
Quickly, all the Glibies started to shape their flutes. They too wanted to have fun.
The Glibies were very happy playing together and they invented lots and lots of different tunes.
They were never bored again!

Oh, I see! Let’s explore!!
Well guys, living things are all different so they can live all over the planet!
In the water, living things can swim. There you can find really tiny, funny looking creatures. They were the first animals to live on this planet.
Later... they turned into bigger ...
...fish! To swim they grew fins and tentacules ... and to eat and protect themselves, some of them grew swords, pincers or big mouths!
Some of these creatures started to walk on the sea bed. Once they reached the land they started to breathe air. They also grew legs to walk, jump and explore the land. They grew teeth so they can chew... Some of the creatures grew wings and started to fly!
Owls have big eyes to see in the dark
WOW! There are so many beautiful living things. They are all different shapes, sizes, colours and textures and they can do so many different things!
Spiders can spin webs to catch flies.
Giraffes have long necks to eat leaves high in the trees.
Now I see how beautiful it is to be different! Mice have a long nose to smell and four legs to run really fast! We are so lucky to live in a world with so many diverse and wonderful creatures!!

Owls eat meat, mostly small animals like mice.

Dinner Dash! These feathered friends have very diverse diets, and very different dinners! Help them to catch their food. How to Play: Each player chooses a bird and makes a bird card Roll the die and take turns moving your bird card round the board clockwise. When you land on your favourite titbit put a counter on it. First to put a counter on all their titbits (and fill their tum) wins!

You will need: 12 coloured counters (make your own), 3 of each colour.
Cook some Corn Soup
Please ask a grown up to help since you are going to use the cooker and boiling water!
What you’ll need: A kettle of hot water + 1 grown up to help
1 tbsp flour
1 tsp butter
1 tsp salt
1 chopped onion
1 cup of peas
1 cup of corn
1. Place the butter in the pan
2. When the butter has melted add the onions
4. Mix with a wooden spoon so that it doesn’t burn
5. When it becomes a paste, add the hot water filling up 3/4 of the pan
6. When the water starts bubbling, add the sweet corn...
7. Then... the peas
8. Let the soup sizzle for 5 mins, when ready add some cheese and mix
9. Stir

3. When the onions are transparent add the flour
& Corn Muffins – with chef Emil What you’ll need:
1. Mix all ingredients together, but don’t mix too much. The texture must be “crumbly”
1 cup of corn meal
1 cup of milk
1 cup of flour
1/4 cup of oil
2tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/3 cup of sugar
2. Grease the tray using a little oil
3. Spoon your mixture in the tin
4. Put the tray in a preheated oven (180 •C) (Gas Mark 4) for 15 -20 minutes
5. Take out when the muffins are golden brown and a knife comes out clean
Time to eat!
