EC strives to stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in the electric industry. We pride ourselves on leading the co-op world in adopting these technologies as they become economical for our member-consumers. As such, we invite the many vendors we work with to give you an up-close, hands-on experience. Attendees of the Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Night on Aug. 9 may visit the Innovation Expo to learn more about electric vehicles (EV) and their unique charging features and to speak with experts in the field. We will have our new EV on display outside of registration so members can get a closer look at the power behind an all-electric car. Thinking about purchasing an EV of your own? You could enter to win a $100 gift card at the Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (OEC's wholesale power supplier) booth as part of its Plug in to Win contest. Stop by their booth Aug. 9 to learn more. Members can also learn about the benefits of geothermal and full home generators. Concerned about high electricity bills? Stop by our Home Energy Consultation Program booth to register for your free home energy audit performed by a certified expert in home energy performance. The Innovation Expo will be located on the south end of the upper concourse at the Lloyd Noble Center on Aug. 9 and will be open from 4:30-7 p.m.
