Oklahoma Outlawz - The Monthly Cannabis Review

Back on the hunt, looking for the best Cannabis Products in Oklahoma. March proves to live up to its reputation as the lucky month. We definitely got lucky with this month's pick and caught them when they were about to do one of their already well-known, exclusive, small-batch craft flower drops. This brand is taking a new approach to growing high-quality flowers and to distributing this flower. The Oklahoma Outlawz have arrived on the market, causing quite a stir among patients and dispensaries. Clever marketing, catchy logos and packaging, and the shrouded mystery surrounding who exactly The Oklahoma Outlawz are. We were lucky enough to get to ask The Outlaw himself a few questions about this exceptional cannabis brand.

The Chronic: When did you fall in love with weed?

It definitely wasn’t in my small west Texas hometown. It was when I went to college, my freshman year my best friends introduced me to “hydro”. I was in love the first time real terps touched my palate.

The Chronic: When did you grow your first plant?

I popped my first seed (by the window) in my Hollywood 2-bedroom apartment in 2015. Vanilla Ice was the seeds. Those 2 phenos I popped in my apartment ended up being run by 3 of the top brands on OC for the next 3 years.

The Chronic: What was your initial Evaluation of the current market when you arrived?

They gave out way too many licenses. Weed is too cheap for businesses to survive and thrive. And I felt there were only a few brands/facilities pumping out what I consider real head smoke. I also felt that it lacked a lot of dope branding, marketing, and or quality events.

The Chronic: Can you tell me about your brand and how you came up with the idea/concept?

Once I moved here, I Heard Wild West so many times and then witnessed it for myself. I tried to think of something that Oklahomans can get behind that would be easily embraced here. So I came out with a Wild West-themed brand named Oklahoma Outlawz Rare goods. I worked with an artist whose style I really liked for the Wild West theme and had him draw me as an Outlaw from this era.

The Chronic: What’s the difference in your project here in Oklahoma compared to the average grower or processor?

When I moved here I decided to pivot, instead of investing all this money into another grow I wanted to find a way to work with other growers without being a threat/another grower added to the list. I felt this state needed unity and I chose to collaborate and move my main focus to design my ultimate dream menu I’ve put together from 23 years of smoking the best I could get my hands on from around the world.

I’ve always been a genetic collector and hoarder, I was just waiting for my time to shine. So what I have done is chosen multiple partners (out of hundreds) whose style and final product was on the level I preferred, then brought all of my favorite cuts in to be grown in small batches (1-3 lights) which is then exclusively sold in our bags by myself. Each bag is hand numbered and labeled in true small batch fashion. Only the best of the best will make it into our bags. I wanted to be a smoker's brand, a brand for the people. I’ll never have to sneak contaminated buds or a bad batch into the market , if it doesn’t pass my strict quality control it doesn’t get my stamp.

The Chronic: So who grows for you currently?

You will know soon enough, until then it’s our best-kept secret. 😁 Our next drop is around 4-20 in April, I look forward to this drop more than any because we reveal some of our newest selections made on Oklahoma soil. We really look forward to creating our own waves on this soil instead of only riding other states' and brands' waves. We will still bring you the best breeder cuts in the country, but we will also be serving our best selections that can ONLY be found in Oklahoma, in our bags.

We keep most secrets until the last second but here are a few things to keep your eyes open for:

Delicioso: my favorite most addictive new terp we found. This is a bubblegum biscotti x bacio cross . Then particular pheno came out smelling like soapy candy.

It’s hard to explain, but it’s so different, delicious, and soapy you will understand why we chose this name.

Watermelon rancher: this hella jelly pheno has the most UNREAL watermelon jolly rancher smell and taste you have ever experienced. You will think the smell is fake it’s so strong and pleasant. This will be a daytime classic moving forward. Mouth stainer.

The Chronic: What new products are you dropping this year that you are most excited about?

Our complete boss box coming later this year, this will have multiple new branded products we are dropping this year. And it will hold the buying limit for customers. That’s all I can say for now. This one is for the real connoisseur, collector boxes. Each store will only receive 1 per drop.

The Chronic: What is your why? Why do you do what you do?

Cannabis has blessed my life, I think everyone deserves the same and should have access to the top tier experiences with it no matter what state they are in. I’m here to do my part and create a fun overall experience while we do it. If I can provide a menu that offers all my favorite tastes and smells that I love and bring happiness to any one individual person. I am happy, anything more than that is a bonus.

We would like to thank The Oklahoma Outlawz for this exclusive peek into this new way to bring the best of the best to Oklahoma shelves. Stay tuned for more about this exceptional brand.
