Buz Deliere | chefbuz_ Good day, and welcome back to all my canna chefs and culinary adventurers! As November rolls in, our thoughts naturally turn to Thanksgiving—a holiday synonymous with family, gratitude, and of course, indulgent feasting. While turkey and stuffing might be the stars of the dinner table, it's the dessert that often steals the show. Thanksgiving is steeped in tradition, from the dishes we serve to the way we celebrate. But traditions can evolve, and there's room at the table for new favorites alongside the classics. This year, we're embracing the growing trend of Danksgiving and this year, we're taking a detour from the traditional pumpkin pie to bring you something equally delicious but far more intriguing. So, get ready to wow your guests with a cannabis-infused dessert that's sure to become a new holiday favorite. So grab a bag of your favorite herb, twist one up and let’s get Cooking with a Buz!
Heavenly Haze Pecan Bars Yields: 16 bars
Overall Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Ingredients: For the Crust:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup unsalted cannabutter, melted 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted 1/4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon cannabis-infused coconut oil
For the Filling:
1 cup chopped pecans 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup corn syrup 2 eggs 2 tablespoons canna coconut oil 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions First, let’s preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Next, in a mixing bowl, combine the flour, both melted kinds of butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and canna coconut oil. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden. Now let’s get the filling going while the crust is baking. In a bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, cannabis-infused coconut oil, and vanilla extract. That’s it, pretty simple. Now we will pour the filling over the baked crust and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set.
Coconut oil contains no cholesterol, no fiber, and only traces of vitamins, minerals, and plant sterols.
