Setting Sight on the Future

Established in 1957, Oklahoma Lions Eye Bank is the state’s only organization dedicated to corneal tissue recovery with the purpose of restoring sight through transplantation and advancing eye banking. In 2017, the Oklahoma Lions Sight Conservation Foundation established a Charitable Organization Endowment to support the needs of the Eye Bank.

Just two years later, the board and staff established a sub fund in memory of Eye Bank employee Angie Garner who was tragically killed the previous year. The fund has received gifts large and small from individuals who were touched by Angie’s story and her passion for providing eye care to underserved populations, a cause close to her heart.
