Brouwerij Bosteels, Buggenhout, Belgium

Since 1791

In the hands of the Bosteels family for over 200 years, the brewery relies today on the craftmanship of seven generations. In 1791, Jean-Baptist Bosteels established the brewery, and has been followed by generations who took over the brewery with zeal and never stop brewing even during the world wars. At that time, the brewery played such an important role in the town, the family Bosteels was such influential people that we are not surprised that 3 on the 7 generations have been Town Mayors.

Bosteels Brewery stands in the heart of the village of Buggenhout. Adjoining the spacious inner courtyard, the handsome and dignified buildings rise up from the ground: the former family residence and the old whitewashed brewery tower. The listed brew house is built to the designs of the architect Minnaert (Minnaert Theatre, Ghent).

Bosteels DeuS Brut des Flandres

Bière de Champagne - 11.5% ABV

6×750ml. bottles

Refreshing as an aperitif. As full of flavours and rich in aroma as a beer from heaven. That’s DeuS. A magnificent symbiosis between beer brewing and sparkling wine production. Ideal for surprising your guests as an unusual choice with the appetizers or to sublimate your fine-food starters.

Deus undergoes a lengthy, costly maturation in the Champagne caves of France. The elegant and laborintensive “methode Champenoise” produces the best sparkling beverages in the world. DeuS has characteristics of both sparkling wine (fine, velvety carbonation) and specialty beer (rich maltiness) but also exhibits a fragrant, herbal and spicy character quite unique and special. Flavors of anise, mint, malt, lavender, and a barely perceptible hoppiness make DeuS a very sophisticated treat.
