The project “3CO in Youth Work” will take place in Junoszyno, in the outskirts of Gdansk (norther part of Poland), between 19-27 May and it’s organized within the framework of the European program Erasmus+ (KA 1), bringing together 24 youth workers from 8 different countries, namely Lithuania, Romania, Turkey, Netherlands, Spain, Macedonia, Czechia and Poland.
The main goal of the project is to improve youth workers’ capacity for supporting young refugees' integration into social and economic life. Specifically, we want to:
equip 24 youth workers with tools and methods to support young refugees in their local community grow a network among 8 European youth organizations to better understand needs of newly arrived migrant/refugee youth create a Toolkit for up-skilling refugee youth through various practices
The participants will be youth workers and educators active in education sector living in partner country, between 18 - 40 years old, directly working with young people or interested to work with refugee youth.

The project venue is SAWA, a recreation center located on the edge of a pine forest in the popular seaside resort Junoszyno, about 800 m from the Baltic sea. Junoszyno is located at the outskirt of Gdansk, in the norther part of Poland. Accommodation, travel and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are covered by the organizers. Menu is standard for all participants. Special diets need to be mentioned by participants in the application form. The location has entertainment facilities, such as swimming pool, volleyball, football, basketball, field hockey and badminton pitches. Activities will be organized indoor (conference room) and outdoor.

The weather at the end of May is expected to be moderately chilly, with temperatures between 10-15 degrees during the day and around 5 degrees at night, so please bring corresponding clothes.
We strongly recommend you to get a health insurance, in case some medical attention is needed. A convenient solution is the European Health Card which you can get for free in your health office. We recommend each participant to have a valid travel insurance. We are here to help and guide you for your travel.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Selected participants can buy the plane tickets ONLY AFTER they confirm with us the proposed flight itineraries. For validation of travel, send your proposed travel itinerary by email to dgtpolska.ngo@gmail.com. The international travel for participants can be made either by plane, train or bus. Personal car or taxi travel cannot be reimbursed.
The arrival and departure days for the Training Course are:
19 May 2023 (arrival day) - 27 May 2023 (departure day)
We recommend participants to plan their travel to Gdansk, Poland. For those of you who wish to spend extra time in Poland for visiting purposes, it is possible to book tickets with maximum 2 days before arrival day and/or 2 days after departure day. Extra days spent in Poland will be covered at your own expense.
The official currency is Poland is zloty (PLN). Average exchange rate is 1 EUR=4.7 PLN. In most places you can pay by card. We recommend you to exchange a small amount of zloty, you will need for small expenses or local bus.
From Gdansk airport, there is a metropolitan train (PolRegio) in front of the airport taking you to the Gdansk Wrzeszcz. The ticket costs around 7 zloty. From Gdansk Wrzeszcz, you need onboard the SKM (a local train) which you will take you to Gdansk Glowny (city center - main train station).
In case you arrive at night, there is also a night bus (N3) taking you from the airport to Gdansk Glowny (city centermain train station). You can buy ticket in the bus, but make sure you have cash with you.
To go to Junoszyno, from Gdansk city center (the exact name of bus station is called “Gdansk Brama Wyżynna” and it’s located 5 minutes by walk from the main train station), you need to take the bus no. 870. The ticket will cost approximately 15 zloty and YOU CAN ONLY PAY CASH. The bus goes around every hour (the journey lasting about 35 minutes) and you need to get off at Junoszyno Morska. TRAVEL COSTS ARE REFUNDABLE FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO ATTEND ALL THE SESSIONS, COMMIT THEMSELVES FULLY TO THE ACTIVITIES AND PROVIDE ALL ORIGINAL TICKETS, BOARDING PASSES AND EMAIL RELATING TO THEIR TRAVEL.
For the plane transport, the mandatory documents are:

Travel budget:

We will reimburse the travel expenses after the end of the project (can take up to 1-2 months), only when all the travel documents presented above are provided. We can only refund travel costs for which original tickets/ invoices/ boarding passes are provided. We strongly recommend you to keep all the original travel documents with you, since we won’t be able to refund them if we don’t receive them.
Reimbursement will be made only by bank transfer to the sending organizations, which will distribute the money to participants.
Personal car or taxi travel cannot be reimbursed. Please DO NOT BUY any tickets before our approval!
