Rethinking Mental Health: Community Empowerment in Youth Work

Project Description

Objectives

We set our objectives for developing a set of knowledge and skills in stress management, wellbeing, resilient and mindfulness to motivate youth;

To create innovative and attractive methods for post covid mental healing and prevention in youth work

To improve the knowledge abilities and competencies of 24 participants, including 18 with fewer opportunities, in youth work using resilience approaches to cope with Covid 19 social difficulties and risks.

To develop an open access audiobook to empower resilience practices in youth work

To prepare youth workers and trainers to adjust to the new normal using mindfulness and meditation practices Exchange of good practices in youth work to fight against psychological and social risks of the pandemic

TRAVEL INSTRUCTIONS

The nearest airports are Luxembourg Airport, Charleroi Airport, and Brussel Airport. Those who use Charleroi, Brussel, or other airports are expected to arrive in Luxembourg city center by train or bus In Brussel, it is recommended to book a "youth ticket" with a discount Additionally, public transportation inside Luxembourg is free

How to reach the accomodation

From Luxembourg Airport:

In front of the Airport, you can take the BUS 361Schrassig / Schlassgewan and go out on the Station Neuhaeusgen, Iewecht Neihaischen After 2 minutes of walking east, you'll be at the accommodation

From the Luxembourg Central Station:

In Luxembourg Central Station take the TRAIN RB 5600 Igel and get out on the 4th station, Munsbach. After a two minutes walk, you can catch the BUS 361 Findel / Cargo Center at the Munsbach, Kulturzentrum station. You should get out at Neuhaeusgen, Iewecht Neihaischen After 2 minutes of walking east, you'll be at the accommodation

If you have any difficulties, you can call us at any time In the worst case, we can also pick you up

Travel costs will be refunded based on original tickets and receipts up to the maximum amounts per country listed below:

Travel reimbursement

If participants' travel costs are higher than the amounts listed, they need to pay the exceeding amount themselves Travel costs will be reimbursed to the participants after they provide us with all travel documents and fill up the EU system survey shortly after the project

Participants who prefer GREEN TRANSPORTATION will have a more travel budget, and the Erasmus+ program recommends it (Green transport is available only for participants from Austria) Participants who prefer green travel can spend a night, and accommodation expenses will be covered up to 50€

All ticket costs purchased in a local currency will be converted and calculated according to the exchange rate of the month given by the European Commission (https://bit ly/2Vv6y08)

MAIN ACTIVITIES

The mobility event will last 7 working days (+ 2 Travel days) and will take place in Neihaischen, Luxembourg The activities are based on non formal education methods, which will include sessions, digital creation, teamwork, and thematic workshops led by project organizers and groups of participants

During the mobility;

Participants will present current challenges and good practices regarding the pandemic and youth in their country

Participants will create audiobooks that offer mental health resources and advice for both personal and professional development to vulnerable young people Participants will create digital outcomes for empowering and inspiring young people to be resilient to crises Participants will make cultural presentations

During the mobility, participants will record audiobook chapters and use mobile recording applications, headsets, and some editing apps. Moreover, they will record short videos to introduce and make them more attractive to this content. Later on, finalized audiobook contents will be uploaded to Spotify, and short movies will be uploaded to the Youtube and partners' social media channels, the redirection for the audiobook will be placed beside the attractive short films

Bring at least 1 computer per nationality group.
