1 hundred and 7 teen
a story by suite20seven designs
A
Sometimes i wonder what you thought it broke my heart
Sitting with you
as you ate your
last dinner
Your legs shake
my lips tremble
i know whats in
store for you a long walk down
the green mile
i hold you tight knowing it was
THE LAST TIME i would TOUCH YOU
I sit hundreds
of miles away
The thought of leaving you
brings me to tears
On this crowded AEroplane
i think back
to the time you
were happy
and able bodied
The smiles in which
beamed from
your face
when we would
go swimming
Even in your later years
swimming would bring
you the most joy
i and the
people who loved you most
knew when you
could no longer
DO THIS
your time was short
6 houses
1 broken family
1 hundred and
7 teen years
you were there
through it all
it brings me much
sadness
your face will no
longer be in
my life
i have always
seen myself in you
you passed on
through my body
and now i know
you will always be
apart of me
I DEDICATE THIS
POEM TO YOU
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE
