The Mage and the Fire

Essay by Oliver Hansen and David Allegretti

Eyes that gleamed, a dream once dreamed Forever once said forever once felt sand and waves and crime of shades

We meet as one, drowning in altitude of rain and desire the queen and the prophet circle the fire the message now burned Eons Commotion a never ending motion

Of time falsely analyzed Heartfelt yet terrorized It’s best this way And yet they say the voice that whispers in the coldest hour the darkest of night of pristine and power a cold park bench watches the dance

Of wind of leaves of hands now part tears that whisper the echoes of flames The prophet once warned Yet the queen unsaved Enclaved emotion lost in the winter frost The grass still resonates, a time now past a stolen glance under the willows forever once felt now forever we melt

Apart The ashes amongst the Mage now stands the mountain but a wave glory has no hands and awaits ever patiently The passing of man of no time of no place of no entity not queen not mage not prophet not man dare starve the flames and the ticking of hand

No longer, they whisper No longer
