HELLO THERE! My name is Olivia Armitage. I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I like doodling in fresh notebooks, watching silly videos on the internet, and drinking warm beverages. I love folk music, peanut butter, and making people laugh (not necessarily together, but that doesn’t sound terrible). Graphic design is one of my newest and most exciting loves. I like to learn from others who are passionate about what they do. As I research a new project, I love connecting the dots that lead to creative, concept-driven discoveries. Everyone has something that puts a twinkle in their eyes and a fire in their belly, and I hope to help clients communicate in a way that reflects that unique voice.

B R A N D I D E N T I T Y Olivia Armitage C L I E N T Self-Initiated C O N T E X T As a designer, I strive to make clients and peers feel empowered to speak candidly with me in order to create the most honest and sincere work possible. I began working with the concept of feeling comfortable; this led me to holding a cup of coffee and a sugary treat in my sweet, Swedish Grammy’s kitchen. Taking inspiration from Swedish folk art and a bright, cheerful color palette, my brand identity should bring you right along with me as we share our stories. T Y P E F A C E S Avenir, Hand Lettering

P A C K A G E D E S I G N Salt of the Earth C L I E N T Self-Initiated C O N T E X T Salt of the Earth is a branding concept for Australian lake salt. Though salt is a commonplace seasoning today, it once held incredible value. It never begs for attention, but without it, so many foods would leave us with something to be desired. Salt of the Earth products are all-natural and provide the delightful flavor that brings out the best in any food. This salt is also harvested in accordance with the seasons, which allows for more sustainable production and a minimal effect on the environment. With easily resealable containers, and a fresh design, this product is sure to find a happy home on any kitchen counter. T Y P E F A C E Hand Lettering, Slab Tall

E V E N T A D V E R T I S M E N T Richard Meier Symposium C L I E N T Self-Initiated C O N T E X T Richard Meier is an award-winning artist and architect. His work is marked by simple, sharp and calculated white lines that contrast beautifully against the blues skies in which they take up residence. The goal for this project was to create promotional materials for an architecture symposium inspired by the works of Richard Meier. I chose to use a typographical emphasis in order to maintain the same simplicity and structure seen throughout his works. T Y P E F A C E S Century Gothic

Just have fun... Well I suppose that is a rule. Simply open up your Chatter Box, and let the chatter begin! T Y P E F A C E S Hand Lettering

P A P E R G O O D S The Clever Donkey C L I E N T Self-Initiated C O N T E X T The Clever Donkey is a conceptual provider of paper goods; more specifically labeled as “love notes with a little kick.” Seen here is a line of greeting cards for those with a sense of humor that borders on being a little too honest. If you need to tell someone how you really feel, but prefer to do so under the veil of sarcasm, this line of cards is perfect for you. Featuring silly heartfelt phrases, you’re sure to find a card that fits every occasion. The use of bright colors and bold lettering matches the sassy messages that lie within these notes. E V E N T A D V E R T I S I N G PLNU Senior Show C L I E N T Department of Art + Design C O N T E X T The Point Loma Nazarene University Department of Art + Design hosts senior art exhibitions and a graphic design portfolio review every year. These are excellent ways for students from other departments, as well as community members to see what we have been working on all year. I wanted these ads to be different from the many posters placed around campus, and I wanted people to feel as though they are a part of what we are doing. The poster is quite unique in comparison with most campus advertising, which draws the eye when competing in the usual spaces. It features a map of campus, as well as the names of each artist and designer participating in the events. T Y P E F A C E S Hand Lettering

B R A N D I D E N T I T Y Emmy Merrill C L I E N T Self-Initiated C O N T E X T Emmy Merrill is a professional ocean athlete based in Southern California. The goal for this brand identity was to reflect Emmy’s unique characteristics for viewers, so that they feel they know her personally. The use of a watercolor effect reflects the transparency that Emmy maintains with those around her. Between friends, competitors, professors, and family, Emmy’s true personality shines through consistently. Rather than changing the way she presents herself based on who she is with, she displays depth and authenticity. The Emmy Merrill brand identity uses one sticker that can be applied to any branding element, in order to maintain a simple, consistent look, even while living the fast-paced lifestyle of a professional athlete. E V E N T D E S I G N Happily Ever Armitage C L I E N T Jacob + Shelby Armitage C O N T E X T Jacob and Shelby are an unconventional and adventurous couple who had big dreams for their wedding. I created a wedding invitation suite and day-of signage that matched their unique aesthetic and personalities in a cohesive yet dynamic manner. I was able to draw inspiration from the gorgeous brick warehouse in which they said their vows as well as the bride’s adoration of all things rustic. I worked with a variety of media to develop a look that celebrates their relationship. M E D I A Acrylic Paint, Paint Pen, Cinder Blocks, Plywood, Spray Paint T Y P E F A C E S Hand Lettering, Avenir
