A Note From Your Lieutenant Governor WELCOME TO THE SECOND ISSUE OF MY MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS! THIS MONTH IS MENTAL ILLNESS AWARENESS MONTH SO ADVOCATE FOR MENTAL ILLNESS IF YOU CAN! I HOPE EVERY CLUB IS PUTTING IN AN EFFORT TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR GOALS FOR OUR DISTRICT PROGRAMS. DONATE TO LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES. COLLECT CANNED FOOD GOODS, DO MIDNIGHT RUNS. I KNOW THAT THIS YEAR WILL BE ONE OF OUR GREATEST SERVICE YEARS YET.Â

MONTHLY FUN FACTS

I walk into doors, trip down stairs, get my feet stuck in groundhog holes almost daily to the point where people think I'm cursed I didn't know what mine craft was until last year I can't dance. I don't know how. I have two left feet that won't move or cooperate when the music kicks in I am a big Jazz fan. Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Paul Anka, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone are just some of my favorite singers You know I'm stressed when I'm an creepy happy mood singing Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B by the Andrew Sister

Spring RTCs

The Regional Training Conferences (RTC) is meant to give officers and general members a deeper and better look at what they do and their importance. Going to an RTC will help one become more familiar with the duties of each position. In order to be considered for a Distinguished Officer Award you must attend at least one RTC

How to get members to attend meetings I. FOOD Everybody loves food. Especially if it's free. Have officers or general members bring in chips, candy, water bottles, etc. Even award a general member who has been doing a lot with a heresy's kiss or a large kit kat bar. It will make the members excited or feel appreciated.

II. PLAN MULTIPLE EVENTS Some members only joined to get some community service hours in. If you go to church, some churches require a certain amount of service hours to get confirmed. If your an officer or advisor help plan multiple projects so more members get excited and attend more meetings, assuming there are many events coming up. Even have mini service projects like making bracelets for hospitalized children to get more members to attend.

III. HAVE A KEY CLUB GROUP CHAT, GROUP ME, MESSENGER, GOOGLE CLASSROOM OR REMIND 101

Some members don't attend because they don't know when meetings are. Have a remind or group chat to post when service projects or meetings are being held so members are more aware.
