HOLLY GREENWOOD LAST DRINKS 2021
OLSEN ANNEXE proudly presents LAST DRINKS, an exhibition of new paintings by HOLLY GREENWOOD. The body of work takes its artist’s gouache studies as a point of departure, treating oil and canvas with equal brevity and confidence. The series reflects on lockdown life and simple pleasures, where an unpretentious trip to the pub could only be conjured in one’s mind. “I’ve always painted pubs… capturing the ebb and flow of people coming and going, not talking necessarily, but feeling another’s presence”, says GREENWOOD. “I wanted to find a shorthand that expressed this way that we connect to each other”.
