JESUS CHRIST COMING WITH FIRE!

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:” 2 T hessalonians 1:7-8

God through Jesus Christ is more important than people realise, even for many believers.

Obeying

A simple reading of the above Scripture should wake up any living soul who values life and that of his/her offspring. This was written by Paul way back in the first century to encourage those in Thessalonica who were experiencing severe persecution. He was letting them know that one day Jesus was coming back as Lord and Judge and his angels as executioners!

(M aTT hew 13:36-43 ). It is not for us to seek any revenge or have hatred towards persecutors even though they, ‘know not what they do’. His return will be vengeance enough, wrapped in fire, both natural and supernatural. Everything that is not of him will be burned up or destroyed, physically and spiritually, just as the burnt offerings of old were consumed (exodus 12:10; leviTicus 1).

Close to 2000 years have passed since Paul wrote these words and now from the godless, deceivers and sceptics we are hearing these words, “so where is this so called return of Jesus then?” From a purely human point of view, and without the knowledge of God’s Word, you would probably say these words. The last days and the end of times we are experiencing were predicted by Paul, Peter and John, not to mention Jesus and the Prophets, in their writings (1 T i M 4; 2 P e T er 3 ).

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation”

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of

ungodly men. (2 P e T er 3:3-7).

Jesus himself had previously made it very clear to all the tribes living in his day that the judgement destruction of Israel would culminate in the final destruction of the whole rebellious world (l uke 21:24-36 ) and like Sodom and Gomorrah they would be no more (l uke 17:29 ). This will be at the ‘harvest’ of the end, culminating in the very last day and hour.

Jesus the creator intends to wipe the slate clean and begin again with those who have known him from past and present (M aTT hew 5:5 ). The new heaven and new earth come from God after the removal of Satan, sin and those who are caught by it (r evelaT ion 21:1 ). Some say, ‘why hasn’t God done this already, the world is so evil and has been for some time?’ Well for one thing we would not be here to consider that viewpoint! It shows that the Lord is more gracious and merciful than we ever perceived. Since Jesus died he has let humanity have their way, just as he has

Revival times is a FREE publication offered to those who want to be encouraged and built up to know JESUS CHRIST as their Lord God and saviour. It is published by Omega Ministries which is a non-denominational prophetic movement of believers who want to see the Kingdom come on earth as in heaven. Please send all enquiries or questions to the email address given below. We recognise all material copyrights and thank God that all contributors take no wages for their work of faith in order to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world and to revive his true church in our day.

All Scriptures are quoted from the King James Bible and or Greek and Hebrew, where appropriate, for clarity. This paper and other teaching material is offered online for downloading and printing free of charge. If you are inspired by the content of this paper please pass on to brothers and sisters for their encouragement. Revival is a long lost concept in our modern society because the true Gospel has been perverted, watered down and twisted for personal gain by wolves in sheep’s clothing. Enough is enough and now the sleepers must awake from their spiritual stupor. The dead dry bones must live and the faithful army of the Lord arise and shine the beauty of Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Revival – God’s Way

Where is the hope for Revival— God’s Holy Spirit outpoured Convicting of sin, and of judgement And righteousness of the Lord?

When nothing else is important— Only God’s presence Divine, When Christians quit worldly pleasures, Then God, His ear will incline. Desperate prayer for Revival Will cleanse the Church by the Word. Then clothed in spotless, white linen, The Bride clears the way for her Lord.

Prayer is the key to Revival, Prayer that is true Spirit-born, Nights of compassionate weeping— Intercession for all the forlorn.

Then will the burdens be lifted, Then all the sinners will cry, Then all the chains will be loosened And worldly passions will die.

The lost ones will yield to God’s Spirit When Christians, cleansed, weep and pray; God’s Living Water flows outward; This is “Revival—God’s Way”!

From my birth my mother taught me in the ways of righteousness. My whole life I walked in the truth of the Holy One as He had instructed. I kept away from the paths of deceit which lead to eternal darkness. I studied the visions of truth and wisdom, praying ceaselessly, and avoiding the paths of violence. Even after becoming an adult, I continued in righteousness, grew in wisdom... I married Emzera: his daughter, and she bore me three sons.. and daughters. Later I took three of the daughters of my brothers for wives for my sons, according to the marriage custom that the Lord of Eternity gave to Adam. After many years, about ten jubilees, after the time when my sons should have been married, the Lord appeared to me in a vision. He showed me the conduct of the sons of Heaven. n oah

freely offered his Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations. That’s more than fair and just. You can’t ever say that God does not believe in freewill or give plenty of time for mankind to know him, wherever they are.

The Gospel age we are in is the time of grace and mercy to all who believe. It also means that the devil has sown his evil seeds and the ‘tares’ also rise with the ‘wheat’, but it all leads to the day of harvest.

From the very beginning God has spoken through prophets and apostles and now through his Son (h ebrews 1:1-2 ), so that mankind are without excuse before him. Jesus came to Israel and spoke in parables of truth so that those that truly sought after him would be found and form the first body of the redeemed, His Church body (M aTT hew 13:3 ).

The long history of Israel also shows the world that God Almighty is slow to anger and slow to judge (P sal M 103:8 ).

However, if that patience of God is abused then justice also comes and we see this in Israel’s history time and again. This is an example to other nations of how God does things. Even after prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple through Jesus, he delayed it for 40 years! Plus at the time he made a way for all those who believed in Messiah to escape! (l uke 21:21 ). The majority of the early Church had already been scattered out of the region by that time. All the Apostles (with the possible exception of John), and even Paul had been martyred years before.

Jerusalem and the Temple was no more, but the faith and the Kingdom message were out there across the known world ( c ol 1:6) Israel and Jerusalem would one day return as a sign that the ‘times of the gentiles’ were over and Jesus about to return (l uke 21:24 ). These are the days in which we live and if we cannot

see this then we suffer a severe blindness that was also on the leaders in Jerusalem of old. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? (M aTT hew 16:2-3)

As we persevere through the dark days coming our way, where evil men try to control and dominate all aspects of life, we must hold on the hope we have, For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. The dead sea scRoll calendaR

Most of us who study ancient history and church history in general, know about the modern Jewish Calendar. It is a lunar calendar consisting of a 354-day year. Its months start on a new moon and every three to five years there is a leap month to keep it somewhat in sync with the four seasons. The calendar most of us are familiar with, and use on a daily basis, is called the Gregorian Calendar. It is a solar calendar consisting of a 365-day year. There is a leap day once every four years. Some holidays are set on the solar calendar. The American Independence Day always occurs on the fourth of July. Other holidays are set on the lunar calendar. This is why Easter is always on a different Sunday each year. Easter is calculated to occur on the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the Spring Equinox. What we were never told is that there was another calendar; a solar one, used by the Essenes. This is their story. The Essenes taught that

God gave us the perfect calendar. The base unit for the calendar was a twenty-four-hour day that was put in sets of seven, called weeks. Their calendar year was 364 days long, which was evenly divided into fifty-two weeks. This made all holidays fall on the same day of the week every year. Our Gregorian calendar shifts week-days one or two days every year. This makes the seven-day cycle and the holidays off from year to year.

The Essenes said this calendar was observed unbroken from the time of Adam to Moses and down to the time of David. David wrote songs for each of the fifty-two Sabbaths of the year. We actually have some of those in the Dead Sea Scrolls! It remained the only calendar used by the Jews until the Greeks tried to force them to use the Seleucid Greek calendar. Unlike the 364-day solar calendar, this was a 354-day lunar calendar. It changed New Year’s Day from the spring to the fall. It calculated the months, not by the solstices and equinoxes, but by the lunar new moon. To do this they had a leap month added to the calendar every three years. The Maccabees rose up and drove out the Greeks. Antiochus Epiphanes

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour (M aTT hew 15:22-28).

in Tyre anyway?’ Jesus was well into Syrian territory and his next move was south from there to Galilee (see M aTT hew 15 v 29 ), his childhood home region, where he later performs many miracles culminating in the famous miracle of the loaves and fishes (M aTT hew 14) .

At this time, even under Roman rule, the Galilee was north of Samaria and therefore considered a ‘Gentile’ region by most Jews in Jerusalem and even by Samaritans despite many Jews living there (M aTT hew 4:15 ).

the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD. (1 k ings 12:19-24)

This rebellion occurred just after Solomon had died and some 926 years before Messiah came and the conflict led to the formation of the Two Kingdoms, Israel to the North and Judah (with Benjamin) to the South according, it seems, to God’s will!

To find this key we need to recall some history of the region that Jesus was in on that day. He was with his disciples in Tyre and Sidon on the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, Syria then, Lebanon today. This was way outside of the boundaries of ancient Israel and a long way off from Jerusalem where he had previously debated with the Pharisees (M aTT 15:1-20 ), 103 miles to be exact! (see map above). That would have taken Jesus and the Twelve disciples a week of hard walking. We are not told how they travelled there, but it was most likely that they went by ferry boat from Joppa to Tyre and not by walking or by donkey. However they got there, the big the question is ‘why was he there

In times past, before the Assyrian conquest, Galilee was a part of the old Northern Kingdom composed of the 10 ‘rebellious’ tribes (who retained the name Israel), they had rebelled against Jerusalem’s (Judean) rule. Specifically this area was the inherited lands of Issachar, Zebulun, Asher and Naphtali, but all these tribes had lost their lands generations before after the United Kingdom of Solomon split, as the writer of 1 Kings explains, So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day. And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only. And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon. But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying, Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of

Israel in the north built up Samaria as the northern capital for defence and Jeroboam returned from exile in Egypt to be their king. Meanwhile Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, maintained Judah and Jerusalem. There was no harmony between Israel and Judah. They shed each other’s blood in feud after feud in an ongoing tit for tat civil war. And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days (1 k ings 14:30). This war carried on for 5 years and Rehoboam did not fully obey the Word of God as David did. This led to a judgement in the form of an invasion where the Temple in Jerusalem was robbed by Egypt.

And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem: And he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made. And king Rehoboam made in their stead brazen shields, and committed them unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king’s house. (1 k ings 14:25-27)

Despite this severe judgement 200 years passed in endless conflict and the continuous sequence of wars did not end until the new world power of Assyria arose by crushing the Aramaeans to the north of Samaria. With the emergence of Assyria, Israel’s days, indeed the days of both kingdoms, were numbered, judgement was looming. The first to fall was Samaria and Jeroboam’s Israel of the north.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath–pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel–beth–maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria. (2 k ings 15:29)

Even with this and other deadly attacks the remaining kings and Samaritans did not repent of their idols and practices resulting in more judgement and final defeat. In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

(2 k ings 17:6)

For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods, And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city. And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger: For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them,Ye shall not do this thing. (2 k ings 17:7-12)

Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.

(2 k ings 17:13-14)

The Assyrian conquerors replaced those rebellious Israelites with their own people because the land was good.

And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the

cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof. (2 Kings 17:24)

For the same sins, some 80 years later, Judah in the south was also exiled by God conquered by the next empire, the Babylonians, who came and took possession of the land and people.

And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it. And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign. And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said. And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land. And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon. (2 k ings 24:11-16)

So apart from the few poor remnants of those who God spared in the hills etc. the whole land of Israel and Judah was conquered by these enemies and

all seemed lost. However, the punishment of Israel and Judah was only for a designated time as prophesied by Jeremiah before all this all took place (J ere M iah 25:11 ). Seventy years later many of Judah’s (Jews) returned with Daniel and other prophets to Jerusalem and a new, but smaller Temple, was constructed after a spiritual revival of the Torah.

Over those 40+ years of construction many of the exiled from northern Israel (the 10 tribes) came back from Syria and Babylonia, so that there was a small faithful Jewish remnant present again in the land. The return was minor and many Israelites still remained scattered (diaspora) and moved even further into the nations establishing themselves through business etc. but at the same time they suffered antisemitism as a continued judgement as prophesied in the Law and Prophets (d eu T erono M y 28:22 ).

hisToRy’s coUnTdoWn

From this point on God’s plan for the final gentile kingdoms of the earth, as shown to Nebuchadnezzar in his dream, begin to play out in full preparation for Messiah’s entrance into the earth via Bethlehem.

Jesus comes and preaches for three and half years of a seven year ministry (Shmittah)) to the Jews when He was ‘cutoff’ (crucified). This death and resurrection began the start of the last days both of Israel and the world systems (d aniel 9:26 ). Daniel’s prophecy implied that eventually the kingdom of Israel would be temporarily restored prior to Messiah coming a second time (2000 years after his death g enesis 1:31 & 2 P e T er 3:7-8 ), in glory as both King of kings and Judge of all, confirmed by the Prophet Zechariah (Z echariah 14 ).

The dReam comes TRUe

As in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream (see d aniel 2 ) over the next 5 centuries the Babylonians lost out to the Medes and Persians and these eventually were conquered by Greece headed by Alexander the Great. After

these Greeks came the infamous Romans with emperors who conquered and redesigned the region, but by this time quite a few Jews returned to the land, the Romans also adopted the Greek name for the region Palestina (from Philistia) and The Sea of Galilee was renamed Lake Tiberius after the emperor. They established the new ‘STATUS QUO’ by ruling with military power (SPQR government) and their new economics of monetarism (standard coinage). Few places in this newly named region were safe for Jews, but one place outside of most Roman influence was in the old Gentile Galilee region and a rough neighbourhood called Nazareth, the new home of Joseph, Mary and the young Messiah, Yeshua. This was all part of the Father’s plan.

But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene (M aTT hew 2:22-23).

The landscape and population demographics in the land at the time of Messiah’s first coming were thus formed and moulded by the previous five centuries of conflict and judgement. Society was truly multicultural and multifaith with people from

all over the Roman world and beyond.

Up in northern Samaria and Galilee were those remnant Jews holding to hope and a semblance of belief, the Samaritans nearby, considered heretical, and in the south Jerusalem with the Temple extended and funded by Rome along with the Pharisaical Tax system. That second Temple was extended by the infamous Herod the Great, more for his prestige than genuine reasons of faith and in an attempt to keep the ‘native’ Jews peaceful, as many rebels had tried to take back Jerusalem from Rome’s rule (M accabees 1&2 ).

Thousands of citizens came from around the empire to see this new Temple which was still one of the largest buildings known in the world at the time and to join the revived annual feasts. They loved their tourism and big buildings even then!

Jesus grew up as a Jewish boy in this very poor region, mostly separate from direct Roman influences, apart from when they demanded taxes and other tribute like in the census as at his birth. Israel (Palestina) was therefore populated by all and sundry and the Iron hand of Rome came down upon all Jewish rebels!

So why was Jesus in Tyre and Sidon? You could say that it was familiar territory, being closer to Nazareth than Jerusalem, but most likely because they landed at the port in Tyre on the way back to Galilee. Whatever the reason Jesus uses it to teach us a vital key - both his purpose and his mission from the Father are revealed and also why miracles were happening as signs of his deity. Firstly, he said he was looking for ‘the lost sheep of the house of Israel’ and he then purposed to give them the ‘children’s bread’. What do these phrases mean then and now?

ev 21:1)

The eleventh part of 12 parts looking at the future of His church.

PART 11 - WHAT’S THE DESTINY OF HIS BODY?

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” ( r ev 21:1-8)

As this message has hopefully expressed, the true lively church that Jesus is building is not of this world or even of this earth, but of heaven itself. The full extent of this great gathering will not become apparent until the Father initiates the return of Christ and the new heaven and new earth are made and we become aware of the whole Bride of Christ (2 T i M 2:19 ).

As we have said throughout this message the whole point is ‘to know Christ’ and obey

him and not just ‘to know of Christ’. Without this true inner revelation of the spirit there is nothing of any value either now or in the life to come.

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” (J ohn 14:21)

If we truly believe that Christ is returning we will prepare ourselves, we will forsake all sin and all iniquity and the whole world system and live our lives in obedience to him alone, because this is the only way to overcome and be included in the Kingdom of Heaven. There is much to happen before the time of the second death comes, but it will surely come.

You need to make sure that you and your family are in Christ Jesus in order to inherit all these things. There is a terrible end coming upon the earth when the Father will restore all things back to himself and do away with sin, iniquity (religion) and death (Satan).

We are at the end of the final countdown, the warnings are all around us, the earth is groaning and many are martyred. If we are in Christ we have no-one and nothing to fear, but if we are not sure then only the fearful expectation of judgement. Jesus clearly says that only those that overcome shall inherit eternal life. The only way we can overcome evil is with good and by the grace of Christ in us - the hope of glory.

“But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord

depart from iniquity.” (2 T i M 2:19)

We must not deceive ourselves, salvation is more than just mental ascent of the truth in the Bible, it’s about doing what Christ and the apostles teach us to willingly obey. Jesus said that we must build our lives on this truth, on this wisdom, ‘obedience is better than sacrifice’ (1 s a M 15:22 ).

As Paul says in his famous passage on love, often quoted at weddings:

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.” (1 c orin 13)

As this message has already pointed out the Father wants us to become mature sons and daughters who have overcome the evil one and have learned to walk in holiness before him, not by relying on our own strength, but by His Spirit in us. This is a cooperation and a co-working with Christ that each individual must engage in on a daily basis, so that we become without spot or wrinkle (spiritually clean) and stay that way. This is the good news for us his people as we are refined like silver and go from glory to glory until we see the Lord.

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 c orin 3:18)

Jesus Testifies to the Churches

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the

Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches (Ekklesia). I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” ( r ev 22:16)

I pray you get into the most glorious kingdom of Jesus the King, it really is your choice.

PART 12 - WHAT ARE YOUR NEXT STEPS?

After all these comments what should be your next step?

If you are convinced of what you have read and are confident that you know Christ in your heart by faith and want to gather with those of like mind to seek the Lord then I suggest the following.

1. sTop

This may seem a strange first step, but one which the Father has always suggested.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (P sal M 46:10) It’s never wise to rush in to anything that may seem new, but take time to go over all these things again because you need to be convinced in order to overcome (a c T s 17:11 ). Stop, also means that if you have realised (by the Spirit) some areas of your current lifestyle which conflict with the truth found in Christ alone, you need to stop doing them (repentance). The Holy Spirit will show you what they are because we are all different and have been into all sorts of things contrary to the Word of God. If you have persistent sin in your life consider fasting and prayer for a time to break free of it. Find others who can pray for your deliverance, elders can

anoint you with oil and pray in faith for your healing if this is an issue.

2. RevelaTion

Pray for the revelation of Jesus to be increased in your thinking. After all it is into his image that we are being transformed, it is him that we are aiming to imitate by the Spirit he has given us. This will mean spending more time in the Word of God and especially the Gospels where Jesus words are mostly recorded. No matter how many times we read these we always get fresh insight into the character and commands of our Lord. (1 c orin 3:11 ).

John the baptiser said this:   “A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” (J ohn 3:27)

This is a huge statement and means that without revelation from the Father and through Christ himself we have nothing of heaven. James also talks about how to get this real wisdom in James chapter 1. Our actions will reveal if we truly believe what Jesus commands us to do.

3. seek

You already have a contact because you are reading this message, but also pray that the Spirit connects you with those who really want to know Christ and be renewed by the Spirit. These may not be the people you might expect, but let the Spirit lead and always keep your shield ready in-case of wolves. Wolves always want to draw you back to the old ways and always want your money for their systems, learn to spot them. Gathering for prayer together in mornings, lunch times or evenings is the best first step as this is heaven focussed and can indicate those who truly want Christ and his ways. (h ebrews 13:14 ). Jesus said: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (M aTT hew 6:33)

4. leave

This is a tough one. Jesus said that we must leave behind the old ways of man’s laws and rules and rely totally on his Spirit (M aTT

15:13-14; g al 5:18 ). This means that we must no longer rely on organisational or religious traditions to provide support or meaning to our life. Many find this difficult because familiarity gives a sense of stability, but that is also its seductive power by giving false peace. Normalisation of wrong behaviour or traditions of men suits the flesh nature well, but not the Spirit. Many in traditional settings are suffering just as much as in the world not realising they are under a curse from being involved in iniquity. This brings the curse of the law and enables Satan to attack the flock. False leaders will not be pleased when challenged or denied, but they must allow you to express your freewill and you must learn to rely on Christ alone, in order to mature into your true inheritance. Take a break from religious meetings and start to gather with other brothers and sisters outside for prayer times free from any form of control and share your testimony. Focus on freedom in Christ and do not be under a yoke of bondage to an organisation or a one man church leader. Christ leads us into reality and it’s not always pleasant to discover the truth that we have been deceived for a time! However, once you are free you are free indeed and can hear clearly from the Lord - it’s a great reward!

5. do noT FeaR

Jesus tells us that we should not fear what man may try to plot against us, but rather expect that we will be opposed and persecuted for being free in Christ (M aTT 5:10; J ohn 15:20; 1 P e T 3:14 ) even free from ‘church’ rules. You are no longer of this world and Satan will not like it! However, his grace is sufficient to sustain through every trial with joy unspeakable. The fear of God really is the beginning of wisdom and this is the only fear we need have, because it drives us towards the truth - Jesus!

Final conclUsions

There is good teaching and bad teaching, there is the true Gospel

revival T i M es Page 9

and sadly many false gospels in the world today. We must make sure that we understand ALL the words of Jesus and the apostles and be free enough to discern the truth by revelation from heaven. “For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.”

( a c T s 20:27)

Whenever we subject ourselves to a man or an organisation and adopt their ‘additional rules’ and ‘traditions’ for living (which are not found in Christ or his word) we endanger our soul and spirit. Our enemy Satan is always looking for an opportunity to tempt and destroy us, we must be equipped and strong together against his schemes.

Deception is everywhere and is very subtle, seductive and strangely comforting, but the Truth is upfront, direct and challenging. Our natural flesh

avoids truth, so we must lay down this life and seek the Spirit filled life of obedience to Christthis is painful to the carnal flesh but not as bad as nails in your hands and feet and hanging on a cross! The price Jesus paid for your freedom! The rewards of obedience far supersede the momentary losses leading ultimately to great joy!

Christ calls you to break free from the chains that bind you by serving him and showing genuine love to your brothers and sisters in full transparency and sincerity. This is hard to find, but it does exist and can be found when we dedicate our life to prayer and the study of ALL the word of God.

The GaTheRinG

Jesus said: “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not

with me scattereth abroad.” (M aTT hew 12:30)

Jesus is drawing out his people from all the fake institutional systems to gather around him and be his dwelling place. This gathering ‘without the wall’ is happening all over the world right now and he is calling to those who are wholeheartedly committed to him and his purposes. Will you respond and be a part of this move by the Spirit or will you prefer to avoid persecution and please men?

Finally please feel free to share with others you think that may be thinking in a similar way. God bless you as you work out your salvation with fear and trembling before our Holy God.

“For our God is a consuming fire.” ( h ebrews 12:29) n

died, and the new ruler was more interested in taxes than religion. Antiochus V Eupator made a deal with the Maccabees. The Jews could keep their religion, but they had to pay tribute and use the Seleucid Empire’s calendar. The Maccabees accepted the offer seeing no problem with using a different calendar. If we believe the Dead Sea Scrolls, this is the true origin of the modern Jewish Calendar.

The Zadok priests said that giving up the original solar calendar alone would be a grievous sin. Eventually the Zadok priests were driven out and settled in Qumran (Essenes). They took with them copies of everything in the temple library. Now for the first time in almost two thousand years, we can recreate their calendar and see what secrets it may hold.

The calendaR Remains inTacT

Some people will say, “Ok, even if we can recalculate what day and year it is on the Essene calendar, how do we know that nothing has changed in almost six thousand years?” That is a very important point to consider. Did the Flood of Noah change the orbit of the earth as to throw off the calendar? Were there 360 days in a year before the Flood and 365 days in the years after the Flood? Or did the number of days in a year change at another time? If so, how could we accurately calculate what time is now? How did Joshua’s long day affect the calendar? What about Elijah turning back time on Hezekiah’s sundial? How can we really be sure about any of these issues? The Essenes recorded these events and took them literally. The

numerous calendar records in the Dead Sea Scrolls, along with the Enoch calendar and Jubilees calendar documents, show that the Essenes believed that the calendar was to consist of only 364 days. No calendar system can be more than the total number of days in the real tropical year. A tropical year is the number of days between spring equinoxes. A tropical year has always been 365.2422 days long. The Essenes under-stood the pre-flood Enoch calendar year to be 364 days long and the tropical year to be more than 364 days long.

On that day the night decreases to nine parts day and nine parts night, and the night is equal to the day and the year is exactly 364 days long. (Ancient Book of Enoch 72:32).

The Essenes also believed that Noah used that same 364-day calendar both before and after the Flood. And command thou the children of Israel that they observe the years according to this reckoning-364 days, and these will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts. (Ancient Book of Jubilees 6:32)

If this is true, then there has been no change in the number of days in the tropical year from Creation to the time of the Essenes. The Essenes taught the lunar Pharisee calendar was corrupt, but never said the same of the Julian calendar that had been in use in Rome since 46 BC. The only thing recorded about the Julian calendar was that it has the same sevenday pattern that the Essenes used. This means that if we can place the Essenes calendar alongside the Julian/Gregorian calendar we use today; we can recreate the original calendar. What about Joshua’s long day and Elijah turning the sundial back? If the earth stopped rotating or went backward for

from

Assyrians and the Babylonians had both plundered and then genocidally removed the Jewish population and replaced it with their own people. This was common practice by kings in those times in order to hinder any kind of renewal or uprising by those who remained in the land after war. Remember that there was no communication lines, no newspapers and no unbiased record made of events other than brief mentions in the records of the Bible that we have today. There are some ancient inscriptions on the buildings placed by conquerors showing great victories made. Rome, the legs in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream conquered and assimilated all the other kingdoms and beliefs.

Roman Centurion soldiers and officials implemented the new Roman laws that came in upon victory - SPQR. As far as Rome was concerned there was no ‘kingdom of Israel’ but only ‘Palestina’ a conquered region of the empire. But God had other plans!

In this mix of nationalities and belief systems came the Messiah to save the ‘lost’ Israelites, not lost physically, but lost spiritually. The Israelites in the nations were not lost to God, but rather dispersed in punishment for past idol worship! However, even at this time, many were coming back to the land and so Messiah came in ‘the fullness of the time’, fulfilling the prophecies given centuries before as in Daniel, But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (g alaT ians 4:4-5 )

Jesus came to those under the Law of Moses, the seed of Jacob (Israel), his possession (d eu T erono M y 27:9 ). They were often suffering oppression, they had no remedy for sin and de facto had broken that Law and as the covenant states there are consequences and curses for disobedience (d eu T erono M y 28 ). However those judgements have the positive long term effect of cleansing, both the land and

the Israelite mindset regarding ‘dumb’ idols.

For this and other reasons Jesus considered the Israelites (although in the land) to be spiritually blind and in danger of eternal damnation without true faith and a repentant heart. Most leaders were living in hypocrisy apart from a few who truly obeyed the law (e.g. Nicodemus). Jesus was searching for those ‘children’ who wanted to reconnect to God the Father by faith, just as Abraham and Moses had been before them.

John the Baptist had been preparing the Jews by repentance in the south for years before Jesus was revealed, he told everyone repenting to expect the true Messiah soon. Jesus was that image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every ‘new’ creature, who came first to the Israelites. The first disciples found Jesus, left John and followed him as The Rabbi.

Paul also reminds the Ephesians of this great truth regarding the timing and appearance of the Messiah (Christ),

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ ( e P hesians 1:9-12) .

Paul also points out to the believers in Rome that God had deliberately selected a chosen remnant from among those in the land as an act of divine grace (predestination), those whom he says ‘first trusted in Christ’ of whom Paul was one, Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. ( r o M ans 11:5-6)

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. ( r o M ans 11:1)

a body pRepaRed

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me. ( h ebrews 10:5)

From the time of Messiah up until the Temple ended, those who were from the tribe of Judah (and some of Benjamin), who had survived through all the historical wars and returned etc., considered themselves to be true Jews by blood and not ‘lost’ like the ‘imported’ or ‘intermarried’ Samaritans etc. of the north (old Israel). Jesus came as a pure blood Jew from the tribe of Judah, but not only of that tribe because he came through a virgin birth. Through modern science we now understand genetics and realise that for Jesus to have a male body he would need the ‘Y’ chromosome from a father’s DNA. This was given divinely as a new creation by the Father through the creative power of the Holy Spirit as announced by the angel Gabriel to Mary. This means that Jesus was both ‘of man’ on his mothers side (and Jewish), but ‘of God’ and divine on his Father’s side (sorry not Joseph), and his inner spirit man was indeed the Word of God. The Word now incarnate and as such not only human, but divine - his flesh was part human from a very pure heritage, and part perfect i.e. a new creation from the Father, the last Adam (see 1 c orin T hians 15:45 ), he did not inherit Adam’s sinful mind. This made Jesus the perfect go-between for man on earth and God in heaven like a door connecting those realms together. This is why Jesus called himself the ‘Son of Man’ (M aTT hew 12:8 ) and his disciples (and demons) recognised that he was the ‘Son of God’ (M aTT hew 16:16 ). As a result Jesus the Messiah was totally connected to the Father all day every day and every moment! This had not happened before in all human history ever since before Adam fell under Ha Shatan’s deception.

This incarnation fulfilled the

revival T i M es Page 11
continued from page 6

many prophecies from Moses and the Prophets and was the destiny of Israel as a nation (see r evelaT ion 12:1-2 ). This is why Jesus is now the only way to eternal salvation from the second death judgement (r evelaT ion 2:11,21:8 ), not just for the Jew, but also for the other nations who receive him, the so called Gentiles ( i saiah 49:6) who can be grafted into Israel and this inheritance.

The mission

Jesus knew that the Father’s priority was for him to contact and bless all those in the land who were considered the ‘lost sheep of Israel’ those preserved by the Father from all the tribes from ancient times (see M alachi 3:16 ). Now because of the Law anyone who was from a mixed marriage (non Jew) would not have normally qualified for this claim. This is why the Jews always claimed their direct descent from Abraham as a prerequisite to pure ‘Jewishness’, also why Jesus genealogy is so important in the gospels. However, it was John the Baptist who had earlier proclaimed to the Pharisees and Sadducees that even with this inheritance you still need faith and repentance from sin! (M aTT hew 3:8-9 ).

As mentioned, the northern split of rebellion was seen by the Jews (Judah) in the South as something that disqualified ‘ten tribes of Israel’ from their inheritance due to apostasy, idol worship and mixed marriages etc. The tribe of Judah considered the ten tribes of Israel as lost and cut-off, but this was not the view of God the Father, because as we know Jesus challenged the Jewish leaders regarding the Samaritans on a few occasions. He reached out to the woman at the well and the whole town who came to faith in Sychar in Samaria! (J ohn 4:42 ). So those considered ‘lost’ by Judah where now found by Jesus to have faith in him by the grace of the Father who ordained who would believe in his Son and who would not, whom Paul calls ‘the remnant of grace’ (r o M ans 11:5 ). One thing is for sure, Jesus did not set out to preach this gospel grace to the Gentiles, but only to the

historical Israelites with ‘ears to hear’ who were dispersed among the foreign people in the land and he revealed his Kingdom parable secrets to only the closest Jewish disciples who would eventually become his apostles. Only the second wave of apostles such as Barnabas and Paul would be sent out to deliberately reach the Gentiles.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! (J ohn 1:47)

All this is beautifully summed up by Jesus himself in his prayers in Gethsemane,

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. (J ohn 17:6-12)

The childRen’s bRead

Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will

raise him up at the last day. The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. (J ohn 6:34-41)

We now recognise that Jesus is the bread from heaven, but what does that mean in real terms for us who are in the earth. The first Jews to believe in Jesus saw him face-to-face and he spoke to them the truth about heaven and the spiritual realities that had been lost. He shows that there is ‘substance’ that is not ‘material’ but ‘spiritual’, invisible to the eye, but essential for the human spirit and soul by faith.

In our opening passage the Canaanite (non Jew) woman cries for Jesus to heal her daughter, she sought a miracle of grace, she wanted spiritual bread that would give life and cure the imbalance caused by the evil spirit. Jesus said that it was only for the ‘children’ and this is telling. The children are those chosen by God out of the world and these are the children of Jacob (Israel), God called them ‘Israel my son’ (e xodus 4:22 ). However, despite this obvious truth Jesus is so impressed with the wise persistence of the woman, motivated by her love for her daughter, that he grants her the deliverance and tells her she had ‘great faith’. So we see that obtaining this spiritual bread and water from God and Christ can be through such faith, even for non Jews. Many Jews who saw their own Messiah in the flesh did not receive as much as that woman did, because they did not have the faith that Jesus was indeed the Lord God Almighty and had the power to grant such blessings. This same faith is seen again in the story of the Roman Centurion soldier who came to Jesus for a miracle to heal his dying servant (M aTT hew 8:10 ). These stories and others are all very emotive and dramatic, but this is what is required for life on earth, this is where heaven meets with man and God’s will is done, His Kingdom comes. The natural state of heaven is light and health and peace in God’s loving presence where there is no sin or death, not even pain. We conclude then that this is God’s perfect will, but

Page 12 revival T i M es

His will is opposed by corruption and death in the earth realm. It’s under a curse of darkness being separated from God and ruled by the despot Satan, his hosts of evil and those who obey him. Satan’s role is to prevent man from finding the Truth about Jesus and so he blinds the spiritual eyes of humanity using deception, lies and idol worship. As a merciful redeemer Jesus and his Word break through this veil by the grace of preaching (1 c orin T hians 1:21) .

The Twelve Apostles were carefully selected by Jesus to become his foundation of truth and love in the earth powered by his Holy Spirit. They also began to share the bread of life through miracles and healing and so deliverance came to the nations. Many others followed as disciples made disciples and so the spiritual ‘court of the gentiles’ expanded.

The baTTle oF The aGes

The two spiritual kingdoms of heaven and hades have been battling for the last 2000 years as God searched for those Jews and Gentiles who would believe in him before the set time of his Son’s return as Judge of the earth. After 2000 years the ‘times of the gentiles’ (l uke 21:24, r o M an 11:25 ) have now come to fruition and Israel, the foundation and centre of God’s plans, is re-emerging again as many Jews return to the land promised to Abraham and many discover that Jesus really is their Messiah and is alive forevermore!

Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written:

“For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, And sing to Your name.”

And again he says:

“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!”

And again:

“Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!”

And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse; And

He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.” ( r o M ans 15:8-12).

In both the passages above and in all Paul’s letters we see that the Jewish people and the nations (Gentiles) are coexistent and that the Church does not replace Israel the nation. The early Church was of course Jewish at core and even now the ‘lost sheep of Israel’ are still being found by Jesus their Messiah and grafted back into the true olive tree.

The Gospel To The GenTiles?

It was not until the day of Pentecost, 50 days after the resurrection, that the message of the gospel was fully launched to the whole world, eventually also to those gentiles who would believe in Messiah’s atoning sacrifice. In Jerusalem that year God had drawn to the feast Jewish representatives from every nation, even Rome.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. ( a c T s 2:5)

As we now know this event marked a gear change in the distribution of the Kingdom of Heaven message to the world via these Jews! What had happened in Jerusalem was made known to the world and through nearly every Jewish synagogue.

This Jewish (Christ-ian / Messia(h)-anic) church was now expanding rapidly and after approximately 3 years had grown beyond 7,000 souls in Jerusalem alone. It was at this point we see another dramatic change when Stephen is martyred by his own leaders for his faith (a c T s 7 ) approximately 3.5 years after Pentecost. We see in the very next chapter Philip preaching in Samaria! Yes back to the Lost Sheep of Israel! There was such a commotion about this that the Church sent Peter and John to check it out! They also ended up preaching to many there in Samaria (a c T s 8:25 ).

So in all of this we see that for at least seven years the Church of Messiah was purely Jewish led and outreach was mostly to those Jews in Israel.

The next gear shift happens

when Jesus chooses a ‘vessel’, a rebellious Jewish Benjamite to start taking the Gospel message to the nations. Ananias is tasked by Jesus to anoint the enemy Saul for this great work, But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. ( a c T s 9:15-17)

Two things are very significant in this passage. Firstly Jesus mentions Saul’s mission is first to the ‘Gentiles and kings’ and then ‘the children of Israel’. Saul’s eyes are opened physically, but more importantly, his eyes would be opened spiritually to God’s great plan for the world and Israel. We see that Jesus has a specific plan for the Gentiles and we also recognise that Jesus himself calls the Jews ‘the children of Israel’, thus recognising the Church and the Jews as separate bodies!

In the very next chapter of Acts the Lord updates Simon Peter on the next part of the plan - the revelation that Gentiles will become grafted into the Jewish church of Messiah! (a c T s 10 ).

It’s not insignificant that the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit is upon the house of a Roman Centurion of the Italian band (Rome) called Cornelius a name which means ‘little horn’! That should ring a bell or ten!

Prophetically Jesus indicates that way in the future this ‘little horn’ would prove very significant in the end times plan ( d aniel 7:8)

The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judæa, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of

Aliyah

PLAN The Game a

COMING SOON an extraordinary new board game from Theologames that highlights the incredible history of the return of the Jews to the Promised Land of the Bible.

PLAN A

Often referred to as Plan A the Aliyah or ‘going up to Jerusalem’ has been occurring since the 19th century, but became more common after the First World War and massively increased after World War II.

Basis of the Game

Helping the immigrants (Olim) to return to the land was often because of persecution or economic pressure upon Jewish communities all over the world. The Jewish Agencies, like Mossad, that were developed often worked secretly to arrange transport of these refugees to then Palestine and after 1948 to the State of Israel. Operations and the Law of Return still sees thousands return even today.

This 4 player board game highlights the covert process carried out by Mossad, Irgun, Batar and Shabak (Shin Bet) agencies over the most crucial period of Aliyah.

In the game you become a secret Israeli agent of one of these agencies selected to help the persecuted Olim Jews return from the diaspora regions of the world to Israel. The number of Jews migrating to the land of Israel rose significantly between the 13th and 19 centuries, mainly due to a general decline in the status of Jews across Europe and an increase in religious persecution. The expulsion of Jews from England (1290), France (1391), Austria (1421),andSpain(theAlhambradecreeof1492) were seen by many as a sign of approaching redemption. Aliyah was also spurred during this period by the belief in the imminent coming of the Jewish Messiah, the ingathering of the exiles and the re-establishment of the kingdom of Israel.

Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision

which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptised, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptised in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days. ( a c T s 10:36-48)

It would be another 12 - 15 years before Saul (Paul) would go on his mission to reach the Gentiles with Barnabas (see a c T s

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. ( a c T s 11:25-26) n

that in the millennial kingdom people will still be observing the same seven-day Sabbath cycle and the same Rosh Chodesh, or cycle of months. This would include the observance of the equinoxes and solstices.

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 66:23)

The prophet Ezekiel predicted these cycles would be observed again in the millennial temple. Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. (Ezekiel 46:1)

this to happen, it would have destroyed most—if not all—life on this planet. Rather, there must have been something in the atmosphere that reflected the sunlight in such a way to cause these two phenomena to occur. This would have changed the daylight hours on these two days, but would not have affected the calendar in any way.

sUn and moon siGns

Mark 13:24; Revelation 8:12-13 and 16:8-11 refer to the sun’s heat and darkness over a third part of the earth and the moon either being so dark it is not seen or is blood red. These could be caused by a phenomenon that blocks light in varying degrees during the Tribulation period. Scripture never says that afterwards the sun and moon will not have the same courses as they did before. Revelation 21:1 reveals a new heaven and new earth; but until then, the old ones with their same patterns remain. There are also lying signs and wonders produced by the Antichrist that may make it appear that the sun and moon are coming up in different courses but apparently they are merely the Antichrist’s deception. The prophets record that these cycles will continue undisturbed. The prophet Isaiah records

Many nations invented their own calendar systems; but the courses of the sun, moon, and stars did not change. Enoch’s prophecy states they do not change until the new heaven and the new earth. This means we can put the original calendar back together!

“And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days (1290). Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days(1335). But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.” ( d aniel 12:8-13 )

Overthe last two thousand years there has been a great deal of speculation and searching of prophecy for the truth regarding the end of days. Today as we find ourselves smack bang in the middle of them as we approach Christ’s return as King and Judge! But as everyone always asks, How can we be certain that we are in the end of days or Last Days?

It is very important for believers to ask this question and get a satisfactory answer from the Scripture and from what Jesus himself calls ‘signs of the times’. In his day (2,000 years ago) many ignored their signs to their peril and literally millions lost both their physical lives and their spiritual destiny in eternity!

(M aTT hew 16:3 )

Understanding and knowing our times is vital and quite honestly a matter of life and death for everyone on earth! As the Paul points out the day of Christ’s return should not catch us by surprise whether we are once dead or still alive at his return (1 T hessalonians 5:4-7)

Time To Wake Up

There has never been a time like the times we are living in, the signs are literally off the charts! It’s time to awake and arise in

our faith and to do what Jesus told us to do - LOOK UP! (l uke 21:28 ).

Jesus said that there would be two phases to the Last Days both of which involve Israel and their relation to the nations. He was answering the question posed by his disciples, “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (M aTT hew 24:3)

The two prophetic events that the disciples asked about were: 1. The destruction of Israel and the Temple

2. The sign of His coming and of the end of the world

1. The desTRUcTion oF isRael

Looking at these in order we can certainly look at history and see that Jesus’ prophecy that the Temple would be judged and destroyed to ruins came true by 75AD when Rome carried out their ‘final solution’, and then Israel itself trampled and ruined for a period called, ‘the times of the gentiles’.

For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! For there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led

away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. ( l uke 21:22-24)

As with all God’s judgements against Israel this was for a specific period of time being terminated when the ‘times of the Gentiles Nations) are fulfilled’. This means we need to understand what this ‘times of the nations is’? Jeremiah 30 also speaks of the two questions and in the first part of the chapter Jeremiah calls the destruction ‘Jacob’s trouble’ or ‘Israel’s trouble’. Oh boy did they have trouble over the last 1800 or so years after that Jerusalem was destroyed!! Unless you read the historical reports by Josephus of that time of destruction by Rome you would not realise how very terrible it was.

For the remaining Jewish people (of all tribes) this was indeed an horrific time and unprecedented destruction and desolation where hundreds of thousands were crucified and women and children murdered or starved to death. It was as if God was dead and just as Jesus said ‘such as was not since the beginning of the world’. No city of God had ever been ploughed over and utterly removed and then replaced by a completely new pagan city built by Caesar Hadrian in AD 75 which was called Aelia Capitolina in honour of the god Jupiter in which was a pagan temple

Page 16 revival T i M es

(on the previous Temple site) where they sacrificed pigs to the goddess Venus! The abomination of desolation was established!

(see also M icah 3:11-12 ). If this had happened in our day it would be the biggest news story ever on CNN or the BBC! All this is historical fact and not a future desolation to come.

The devastated journalist and historian of that time Josephus writes:

“No stranger who had seen Judea of old, and the lovely suburbs of its capital, and now saw this devastation, could have restrained his tears and lamentations at the hideous change. For the war had turned all that beauty into a wilderness. And no man who knew these places of old and suddenly saw them again could possibly have recognised them.”

All Jews and Christians were forbidden to enter the area and were dispersed across the known world. And so was fulfilled Jesus words to them when he said to the leaders of Israel: “Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.” (M aTT 23:34-36)

Historical Jerusalem was gone forever. Israel was gone. Cut down like a great oak tree with only one spiritual branch remaining from the roots - Jesus Christ’s body - his remnant ‘Messianic’ church.

So we see that this ‘trouble’ for ‘Jacob’ was in complete fulfilment of Scripture as Jesus himself said,

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”

( l uke 21:17-22). ( be T ween 70-135 ad !)

Jesus brought an end to the Temple and it’s sacrificial system as a clear sign that he was the final atonement for sin and iniquity. The age of his grace had started from Pentecost for all those who believed, but also a time of punishment / discipline to all those Jews who had refused him.

So the nations trampled Israel one after another through wars, famines, pestilences earthquakes and persecution up until something very significant happened.

aliyah - The second ReTURn We can now calculate when the times of the Gentiles were fulfilled, because for us today it is an historical event - did you miss it!?

During the years that the Jews were exiled from AD135 until just before the world wars the nations of the world expanded and prospered exponentially. This happened despite many wars and plagues which are recorded history. In many cases it was the inheritance of knowledge from the ancient kingdoms of Babylon, Greece, Persia and Rome and even of ISRAEL that facilitated this. However, one empire arose more than any other between the 17th and 18th centuries. The British Empire was the biggest empire that developed during these times. It portrayed itself as a lamb holding out the Gospel as its code of belief and yet it was a ruthless as dragon in its enslavement and exploitation of the nations. In the early 20th century the Empire was at it’s height ruled by the ageing Queen Victoria who died in 1901. As well as the Gospel the empire had introduced the Industrial Revolution and these resources were fuelling the massive growth of the nations. She was wealthy beyond all nations, even America at this time.

Meanwhile things were stirring in some Jewish hearts and a longing for a return to the land was in motion since 1881 when Jews fled Pogroms in Europe. In what seemed no time at all in

1914 the nations of Europe found themselves at war with each other. This war made use of the new found technologies of big guns and even tanks. Nations took sides with or against the Central Powers (German Empire, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and the Kingdom of Bulgaria). The Russian Empire (2 November 1914) and its allies France (5 November 1914) and the British Empire (5 November 1914) declared war on the Ottoman Empire.

Jews continued to make Aliyah or Return from persecutions in Russia forming Kibbutzim developing agriculture based communities. Then Lord Balfour, a Christian politician and others, were inspired to put together a declaration which became a public statement issued by the British government in 1917 announcing its support for the establishment of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine, then an Ottoman region with a small minority Jewish population. The declaration was contained in a letter dated 2 November 1917 from the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lord Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, for transmission to the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland. The text of the declaration was published in the press on 9 November 1917. The Ottoman Empire was ultimately defeated and by 1922 it had been dissolved. The promised land known then as Palestine was a desolate wasteland.

Discussions about the assignment of the region’s control by the League of Nations (UN) began immediately after the war ended and continued at the Paris Peace Conference and the February 1920 Conference of London, and the assignment was made at the April 1920 San Remo conference. The Allied Supreme Council granted the mandates for Palestine and Mesopotamia to Britain, and those for Syria and Lebanon to France. The final mandate came into effect in 1923 with Jews being allowed to

live in western Israel and Arabs assigned Trans Jordan. Then came the 2nd World War and Hitler arrived to try and restore the German Empire. Hitler persecuted the Jews and minorities and as we know his ‘final solution’ murdered millions in concentration camps over the period. This only had the effect of boosting sympathy and respect towards the Jews and their dream of again being a nation in the land. A long story short after the UN Partition Plan resolution was passed on 29 November 1947, the civil war between Palestinian Jews and Arabs eclipsed the previous tensions of both with the British. However, British and Zionist forces continued to clash throughout the period of the civil war up to the termination of the British Mandate for Palestine and the Israeli Declaration of Independence on 14 May 1948. The nations of the World had united and by Jewish effort, resistance and diplomacy they claimed their independence to be a State again. The trampling of the Gentiles over the land had come to an end even in a time of chaos and conflict! This marked the end of the times of the gentiles, just as Jesus had prophesied. These events also set a clock in motion, the end of days clock had begun! Since that day many more prophecies have been fulfilled included the conquest of Jerusalem after the six day war in 1967 and the return of millions of Jewish related people from the nations of the whole earth (Jeremiah 30:10).

2. The siGn oF his cominG and oF The end oF The WoRld Next Jesus answered his disciples regarding the ‘end of the world’. To answer this question Jesus mention quite a few signs. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall

also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Jesus makes it clear that when he returns it will be very obvious and not in secret. The nations of the earth will mourn his coming in fear of the judgement. Now before this happens Jesus tells us a parable regarding Israel symbolised as a Fig Tree; Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (M aTT hew 24:23-39)

The reformation of Israel as a

nation in the land is the Fig Tree putting forth leaves meaning summer. On the Jewish calendar summer is a time of growth prior to harvest. The next festival that comes is Trumpets and the blowing of the Shofar (Yom Teruah) This symbolises the return of Christ as Paul describes in 1 Thess 4:16 when a trumpet is sounded. This feast occurs in Elul or September time. Other details are given to us by Luke;

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. ( l uke 21:25-28,34,36)

These events bring the whole earth and world to an end before the millennial reign, but it’s not without a terrible destruction of the kingdom of darkness as described by John in Revelation chapter 19.

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. h ebrews 7:1-3

There have been 54 caves to date searched by archaeologists in Qumran. 12 of these had Papyrus scrolls in them. This is a scroll, dating from 200 BC, was written by the Essenes concerning prophecy of a new Melchizedekian priest/king that would come to save the world!

It was the 13th manuscript found in the 11th cave in Qumran back in 1956. Melchizedek was a priest king combination tradition that existed before Moses. There were 10 priests from Adam to Jacob under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. This came to an end after Jacob when kings would come through Judah and priests through Levi and prophets from any tribe.

"Moses said, 'In the year of the jubilee, each of you will be freed to return home [Lev. 25:13]' and he described how, saying, 'Now this is the manner of the release: Let every creditor remit what he has lent his neighbour. He shall not press his neighbour or his brother for repayment, for the LORD's release has been proclaimed [Deuteronomy 15:2].' Its interpretation pertains to the end of days. The captives Moses speaks of are those whom Isaiah says, `To proclaim freedom to the captives [Isaiah 61:1].' Its interpretation is that the LORD will assign those freed to the sons of heaven and the lot of Melchizedek. Even those, whose teachers had deliberately hidden and kept secret from them the truth about their inheritance through

Melchizedek. The LORD will cast their lot amid the portions of Melchizedek, who will make them return [or repent] and will proclaim freedom to them, to free them from the debt of all their iniquities. This event will take place in the first week of the jubilee that occurs after the ninth jubilee [AD32].

“Now the Day of Atonement is the end of the tenth jubilee [AD75], when atonement (is made) for all the sons of heaven, for the men of the lot of Melchizedek... It is the time of Melchizedek’s ‘Day of Grace.’

He will, by His strength, raise up the holy ones of God to execute judgment as it has been written concerning Him in the songs of David, where it says, ‘Elohim stands in the divine assembly, in the midst of Elohim He judges [Psalm 82:1].’ He said, ‘Above it, to the heights, return. God will judge the nations [Psalm 7:8-9].’ When he said, ‘How long will you judge unjustly and show impartiality to the wicked? Selah [Psalm 82:2].’

Its interpretation concerns Belial and the spirits of his lot who turn away from the commandments of God in wickedness. Melchizedek will exact the vengeances of the judgments of God...

He is the one about whom it is written, when it says, ‘to comfort those who mourn... [Isaiah 61:2-3],’ to ‘instruct them in all the Ages of the world in truth.

The Final yeaRs

Isaac Heckman is a Messianic Bible teacher who believes the final Tribulation is only 3.5 years long based on the chart below beginning anytime soon on Aviv 1 (Two weeks before Passover). He teaches that the book of revelation is three cycles of the same event from varied viewpoints. If we assume for example that the return of Jesus on the day of atonement Sept 2028 then by subtracting 3 years 6 months (1260 days) we arrive at March 2025 just before Passover that year. He maintains that the Bow Rider represents the arising of an Islamic Mahdi who will be anti Christ and anti semitic who heads an attack on Israel. This attack has been

prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and Zechariah 14 when the Lord returns on the Mount of Olives (Seal 6). I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. [3] Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. [4] On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. a Time To ReTURn - as in deaTh so in liFe!

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set eternity in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

e cclesias T es 3:1-11

This

Ecclesiastes passage is one of the most well known, even in the world, especially because of the 1960’s song by the Byrds. But it’s more than just interesting as it also hides a secret prophecy about the end of time! ‘God has made everything beautiful in it’s time’ and ‘no man can find out the work that God maketh from beginning to the end’ symbolises for us that this passage is about man’s time on earth with it’s joys and sorrows to the end. By having this experience of the world and in their heart a sense of the spirit, man has not been able to figure out God’s plan until Christ came and the mystery was revealed (Eph 3).

There are 28 ‘times’ mentioned in the Ecclesiastes passage written by Solomon each of which pairs are opposites of each other. This symbolises the battle between good and evil through our history ending on the phrases, ‘a time of war, and a time of peace’

As we have seen from other teaching regarding the last years of this age it climaxes with a war (Armageddon) and the nations against Israel, but after Messiah’s return to defeat these enemies 1000 years of peace occur, something not known before in earth’s history. This will be the reign of Messiah as promised in the Scriptures to the Jews.

The fact that these ‘times’ add up to 28 is significant as symbolism, but also in practical terms, because as we have seen from other prophecy and new calendar correction and calculation, it is now more likely than ever that Jesus died in 28AD and will return 2000 years later in 2028 and more specifically Feast of trumpets 2028.

There are other parts of Scripture that also seem to hint at this being the significant date at the end of the age. For example in Exodus 26:2 (coincidentally 26+2=28) we read:

The length of one curtain shall be eight and twenty cubits (28), and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and every one of the curtains shall have one measure.

10 of these curtains (28x4) are looped together in 5s and connected by 50 gold clasps to make the Tabernacle curtain. 50 symbolises the permanent Jubilee (day of liberty) that exists in the timeless heaven of God’s presence. According to the Essene calendar the final Jubilee of the church age ends in 2028! The last 3.5 years of the that Jubilee will be the antichrist (antiMessiah) domination of 1260 days starting in March 2025!! This being true the people of God, Jew and Gentile need to wake up fast just as Jesus, Paul and all the Apostle continually warned

us to do.

God is in control of his word and the Bible was put together at his command, so that those of us now in these last days and end of times who have been blessed with wisdom would have a clear reference and help to get through the devastating darkness and Great Tribulation to come. Jesus said that these days will be cut short, in fact cut short by 50% from 7 years to 3.5 - praise the Lord (Matt 24:22, Daniel 9:26). Those of us who survive the final persecutions will look upon our enemies as Christ in Power and Glory sends his angels to destroy all those who have taken the mark of the beast leader and system! Should we have be killed by beheading for standing our ground we will find ourselves in the first resurrection and living through the millennial kingdom with extraordinary powers alongside Christ! (Rev 20:4-5). Otherwise we will be raised at the end of the Millennial reign and enter into the new heaven and earth created at that stage (Rev 21). Coincidentally on purpose chapter 2 speaks of the reward for those who overcome persecution as receiving their reward - the morning star - in verse 28! The book of Acts also has an unusual ending in chapter 28 and verse 28 tells us: Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. a c T s 28:28

I saw written on them that generation upon generation will transgress, till a generation of righteousness arises, and transgression is destroyed and sin disappears from the earth, and all manner of good comes upon it. Now, my son, go and tell your son Lamech that this son, which will be born, really will be his son, and that this is no lie. When Methuselah had heard the words of his father Enoch—for he had shown to him everything in secret he returned with the interpretation and explained it to him and called the name of that son Noah; for he will comfort the earth after all the destruction. . e noch ( d ead s ea s croll f rag M en T 107)

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
