INTRO.
In your hands you find the O MY BAG FALL/WINTER ‘14 LOOKBOOK. Three years ago O My Bag burst into life when Paulien Wesselink couldn’t find the classic vintage schoolbag she’d been looking for and so set out to create it herself. With the conviction that high style doesn’t have to come at the expense of cheap labour, Paulien hopped on a plane to India to find the right tannery and manufacturers to produce O My Bags. The result? Classic, vintageinspired eco-leather and super-luxe soft leather bags and accessories made fairly; bags that don’t just look gorgeous, but are good for people and planet too! This Fall/Winter we introduce an elegant and refined new collection: Midnight Blue. During our last visit to India we developed a new eco-leather range. This eco-vintage leather falls smoothly, which makes it the perfect combo between our sturdy hunter eco-leathers and our buttery soft naked leathers. Because we wanted to introduce more color in the collection, we created a deep midnight blue and combined it with a touch of delicate gold for a starry nights look. WHAT WE DO MATTERS.
who we are. O My Bag is a classic fashion brand that creates fairly made leather bags and accessories. An O My Bag is classic, practical and fashionable. Made of the best leather, but with that authentic vintage feel. Sophisticated, but not boring. Casual, with an edge. But above all, a leather bag that you can flaunt without guilt.
what we do. Our bags are made from a unique kind of eco-leather that is tanned without harmful chemicals and the skins come from local Indian cows. This adds up to a cleaner and safer tanning process and reduces carbon footprint. In the area of Kolkata, India, every O My Bag is created with love in the safe and positive atmosphere of Fair Trade, where fair wages and benefits are paid, women are empowered and training and education is offered.

Our bags are made of cowhides which are sourced locally and died regardless of the fashion industry.
Our eco-friendly leather is produced without the use of harmful chemicals such as chromium, PCP and AZO dyes.

Our fair trade partners provide a safe and healthy environment for their workers, where nutrition needs are met, health costs are covered and the poor, especially women, are empowered.
O My Bag’s producers are certified Fair Trade organizations in or near Kolkata, in the West Bengal state of India. By providing access to the global market we connect them with our customers who love a good bag.
