All month Centerpointe Café Take a look at our historical records from Safeway’s archive, highlighting contributions from Safeway’s women over the decades. Be inspired by their stories as we continue our path forward.

March is National Nutrition Month so come get answers to your questions about keeping baby and the rest of the family healthy. Learn more from our panelists about onsite resources available for your family. Join the Baby Club Group on Yammer and stay connected with us as we navigate through the exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) early years of parenting.

The ElderCare Support Group encourages all caregivers to take the time to learn how to manage the stress of caring for a loved one. Dr. Samuel Gontkovsky of Home Care Assistance will provide information and present strategies at this seminar. Learn about caregiver stress, strategies for managing the stress, and ways to seek and get support.


Understanding Gender as a Culture Workshop Tuesday, March 18 9 a.m. – Noon Canyon Way Room 135 Is it true that men are from Mars and women are from Venus? Join us for a three hour interactive and fun workshop designed to create awareness and improve communication between men and women across the cultures of gender. We will focus on increasing understanding and improving communication, a key skill for everyone, whether you lead others or contribute to our success as an individual.

Autism Awareness Webinar Wednesday, March 19 Noon – 1 p.m. Building G 1024/1025

Autism is a developmental disorder that’s still a mystery. People with autism have a hard time interacting and communicating with others. While the cause and cure for autism are unknown, there are ways to treat it. Find out why it’s important to diagnose this condition early and the type of interventions that can help.

The Great Sustainability Cook-off Share your culinary expertise and passion for sustainability in our recipe contest. Compete by creating a healthy, delicious dish using natural and organic ingredients that use minimal natural resources and packaging. Email your recipes to Sara.Stefanski@Safeway.com now through March 28 for a chance to participate in a Culinary Kitchen cook-off. The winner of the cook-off will have their recipe featured as a lunch offering in the Centerpointe Café and be crowned The Great Sustainability Cook-off Champion. Recipes will be judged based on both sustainability and taste. Be on the lookout for posters coming soon!
