Onehunga Security Update
e e e
Onehunga’s Security Guard, Satia Sami, continues to keep a close eye on what’s happening on the cameras and is quick to prevent something escalating into a serious incident. “ Some previous offenders know I’m watching them and know I’ll spot them if they’re playing up.” she says.
e e e e
The work that Satia does is valued by the Police across Auckland. Onehunga, Mt Wellington, and Central Auckland Police officers are in regular contact with Satia and many request to see footage that assist their investigations.
enews 20 March, 2013

Auckland Unitary Plan launched on 15 March 2013 What is your vision for Auckland?
The Auckland Unitary Plan will be the rulebook that shapes the way Auckland grows. It will set out what can be built and where, creating a higher quality and more compact Auckland while providing for rural activities and maintaining the marine environment. It will help to create a stronger economy, more affordable housing, better design in our buildings and public spaces and consistent protection of Auckland's heritage, harbours, volcanic cones (maunga), environment and character (AucklandCouncil.govt.nz). Do you believe 8-storey buildings should be built in Onehunga? How can we improve our transport system? We encourage you to have your say about the Unitary Plan on the Council website here: http:// shapeauckland.co.nz/?utm_source=button&utm_medium=acwebsite&utm_campaign=UnitaryPlan. The Public have up until the 31 May to have their say. The Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board will be holding several drop-in sessions listed below, where you can ask questions, share your thoughts and view detailed maps of your area.
