Awards Recognize Watco’s Commitment to Hiring Veterans and Transitioning Service Members

Watco’s Military Outreach & Hiring program is getting noticed again (and again)!
Both VETS Indexes and Military Friendly are the latest to honor Watco’s efforts in recruiting and developing military veterans in the workplace. These organizations recognized Watco as a 3 Star Employer, Military & Veteran Recruiter Shannon Parker as a 2024 Veteran Champion of the Year, and Director of Watco University Ken Killingsworth with an Employee Veteran Leadership Award.
This latest recognition comes after the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association presented Watco with the Veterans Engagement Award earlier this spring.
Parker said, “Transitioning service members and veterans have so much to offer. Their values closely align with Watco’s. And ultimately, they make for great fits on our team.”
