How To Store

Look for a squash that has dark beige skin & is heavy for its size. A squash with a thick neck & small bulb has less seeds.

Store whole, fresh squash in a cool, dark place up to 1 month. Once cooked, store in an airtight container or zip-close bag up to 5 days.

Avoid cuts or bruises. Green skin spots means it is not ripe yet.

How To Prepare

Roasted

Toss 1/2 inch cubes in olive oil & roast at 375°F 30-35 minutes, or until tender.

Sautéed

Peel, cut into 1/2 inch cubes & sauté in olive oil over medium heat 10-15 minutes, or until tender

Tip: To par-cook for faster stovetop or roasting time,

use a sharp knife to make deep slits all around. This allows steam to escape. Do not skip this step to avoid squash from bursting! Microwave 10 minutes.

Fresh

Slice or thinly shave into a salad.
