How To Store
Beets should be heavy for their size. Look for firm, wrinkle-free skin. Smaller beets are more tender. Avoid wilted leaves, if still attached.
Store fresh beets in a plastic bag & refrigerate up to 3 weeks. Once cooked, store in a shallow, airtight container or wrap tightly with foil or plastic wrap & refrigerate up to 5 days. Can be frozen up to a year in a freezer-safe zip-close bag.
How To Prepare
Roasted
Toss in olive oil & roast at 375°F 30-40 min until tender.
Boiled
Boil in water 20-40 min until tender. Drain, cool & peel skins.
Tip: Use raw leaves as greens in a salad or sauté in
olive oil for a simple, nutrient-packed side dish.
Raw
Shred raw beets into a salad or wrap!
