LIVING WELL WITH DEMENTIA IN SALFORD

There’s a lot to think about when you find out you are living with dementia. But you are not alone and Age UK Salford can help you access the right information and support.

In Salford, over 2,000 people are living with dementia and Age UK Salford provide a personalised and holistic approach for those living with dementia and family caregivers. We advise on all aspects of care from health and wellbeing to finances, social activities and planning for the future.

Caring for a loved one can be challenging, therefore, we offer 1-2-1 support for family caregivers. We also offer fun and sociable buddy clubs, which run twice a week for those living with dementia, offering five hours respite for caregivers.

If you or a family member has received a recent diagnosis from the memory clinic or are experiencing memory-loss symptoms and aren’t sure where to seek help, contact us for advice.

Buddy Clubs

We have places available at the Dementia Buddy Clubs which run Wednesdays and Fridays at Chandos Sports and Social Club. Enjoy a range of fun and sociable activities to help improve health and wellbeing. The clubs are supported by specialist dementia workers and lunch, activities and refreshments are included in the daily rate of £35 per day.
